Norstar m7310 needs rls button pushed after every call

We have a M7310 and every time we have to answer the phone it won't answer automatically when you pick up the reciever, we must press line 1 or 2 every time. Also the phone doesn't automatically disconnect when we hang the reciever up, we must press rls every time, which gets extremely annoying. Any help and/or insight you can provide would be most helpful! Thanks!

I've seen this many times; Check the Handset cable. It is probably plugged into the Headset connection on the phone.

How do I set or change time on display

C'mon. Seriously. Have you heard of Google?
Go to Google, and type in, meridian m7310 phone setting time date.
Too hard?
Here's a link then: http://www.alphatelecom.ca/norstar_date_time_program.htm
Still too hard?
Then it's,
1. feature **8463 (as in "time")
2. password 23646 (as in "admin")
3. hit "change" or "next" and change time components as needed until it displays "end of list"
4. hit "rls" button

Hope that helps. (~face palm~)

How can i change my extension nuber (norstar M7310)

Sorry can you clairify this question...

-> You need a new extension number for your set?
-> You need a new extension on your set so you can see when they are on their phone?

If it is the first, there are many things that you need first, too much to explain at the moment. But you need to have the password and a template for your phone to make changes.

If it is the second, press:
- Feature * 0 and any button to find out what is on the button, look for an empty button or one that you want to overwrite,
- then RLS,
- press FEATURE * 2
- press the button where you want to add this new extension
- dial the extension of the new person

Voila you are done!

Good luck!
