Question about Zoom H4 Handy Recorder
I notice some corrosion (bought it used). Could this be the issue? I've noticed others are having similar problems.
Yes, corrosion is most likely the problem, you may also check the power cord for the correct voltage. If you are savy enough you can take it apart and clean the connections and run it from a power supply. I hope this helps, good luck..

I had the same problem. I used 99% isopropyl alcohol from a local pharmacy (do not use rubbing alcohol) and a cotton swab to remove the corrosion on the battery contacts, then put the batteries back in. Success!
