Hi Yes the 2013 style sub seat can be fitted to a 2005 chassis. Where the sub seat connects into the chassis there will be a plastic clip on either side of the 2013 sub seat that will need to be removed in order for the sub seat to then fit into a 2005 chassis.
Chasis ???dont you mean chassis number --- well forget the one in the windscreen thats not acceptable for the annual inspection ...top of bulkhead/sorry firewall ,rear chassis frame behind the wheel ,front chassis behind the wheel ,in the boot /trunk ,but some american cars actually put them under the carpet behind the brake pedal.sorry i dont know where exactly we dont have these cars in spain
While the rear subwoofer does fail, it is often misdiagnosed because of a rattle in the vicinity.
Try removing the little fold away hooks near the subwoofer (philips screws) and see if your problem goes away. If it is still there, loosen the panel and see if it goes away. If it does not, more than likely the speaker has in fact failed.
Most subwoofer buzzes have been either the little fold away hook or the wire harness just behind the subwoofer. Actual speaker failures are much more rare.
That cover doesn't come off - It's screwed (4) from behind. You have to take the upper trim piece off (and handle) to remove the bottom trim piece and access the subwoofer. If your sub is like mine, the foam all the way around the sub has torn away, making it rattle. There are only 4 screws holding the sub in place, and it's sticky taped to the wall, so you may have to pry it off. Hope this helps!
IF U HAVE A REG CAB U CAN BUY A TRUCK BOX MOSTLY FITTING 2 10INCH SUBS, AND A AMP UNDER YOUR SEATS, OR IF U HAVE A LARGER CAB THEY MAKE CUSTOM FIT BOXES BUT THEY WILL COST U MORE, OR U CAN GET A BOX FOR 1 12INCH SUB FOR A TRUCK AND U CAN PUT IT ANYWHERE U WANT.
I would say look for a custom box off ebay or build one behind rear seat. Im not shure if you can fit a small truck box behind there but you may be able to. It would sound pretty good behind rear seat. Hope this helps
