Either the battery pack is bad or the firmware needs to be upgraded which manufacture does for $50. Or get lucky enough to find software on the web to update the firmware.

Make sure power supply is putting out power to charge battery pack. If supply is good, check battery with the same voltmeter to see if it is putting out the voltage it says it should.

One chanel of my pv 2600 amp is playing very low

Hello,

Clean all back switches first of all, use a cleaning solution spray and give a 3 shot per switch, then push in-n-out several times each one and check amp functionality again.

Panasonic PV-GS59. The tape door opens but the tape will not eject. It plays and records perfectly, but for some reason it won't pop out. Any suggestions?

This can be caused by several problems including a defective eject switch in the cameras internal circuitry or a bad motor and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

Software to edit video from camcorder, to use on

The best software to view, download, edit on Vista I have found for working well with PC and many cameras is called Videowave, great package indeed, is dead easy to use too and can cost less that £29.99 is most good computer shops.

What drivers do I need to transfer video from PV-GS59 to PC with Windows 7?

to transfer video from your camcorder to your pc you will need a firewire cable (ieee 1394). only with this cable you will be able to transer video.
you will also need a firewire port on your pc.
if you don't have one then you can buy a firewire pci card.
no drivers are needed.

see this for info and pictures
