Probably a bad seal at the door gasket, allowing excess moisture to come in (check with a sheet of paper). Where do you live (hunidity level?)?

Also you did not say if you have an ice maker that could be leaking...

I have the same model of Kenmore fridge - #970-678322 - it has no icemaker. I have had a repairman here 2ce because of the water leaking inside the fridge. He cleared out the pipe that drains the defrost water, and the 2nd time he steamcleaned it. It's still leaking water into the fridge compartment. I checked the gasket with a piece of paper - seems to be ok. Could there be a mechanical flaw in this model that's causing this problem?

debvox, you did not say if you live in a particularly damp area. If that is the case it is difficult to change the laws of physics (warm air condensing in a cold surface), especially if the door heater is not working.

    Good luck with that.

I have a Kenmore top load washing machine and it is dripping water inside. Do i need to replace a valve or a gasket?

Until you find out why it is dripping turn off the water behind the washer. Then I would go and search online typing in the browser search "Kenmore top load washing machine model no _____ leaking - what is causing this?" and hit enter. You will get lots of leads. I did a quick search just on Kenmore top load washer leaking and found this video.

Hope it helps.

Where can I access the defrost drain hole in my Kenmore model 253.74879404 Refrigerator? Disassembling the freezer did not work.

I've used used a compressor for that drain hole at the back of the fridge. A hanger wire will work too. I've never tried it but maybe a can of compressed air might work also.
The water drain line is plugged and that little catch tray is overflowing. That's why you're ending up with water under your bins inside the fridge. The problem is not in the freezer or else you'd have a skating rink on the floor of the freezer.
I don't recognize the photos exactly but they're all the same principle. Take everything out of the fridge , including the racks. It's far easier than o find the screws and disassemble the drain "catchall".
Good luck.

Samsung RSH1JBBP Fridge Freezer is intermittently leaking small amounts of water from inside the fridge. It pools at the front right caster. Ice and water dispenser used occasionally. Not sure if...

I have a different fridge but had the same problem in the same area last year. Have you taken the front grill off the bottom and cleaned/vacuumed under the fridge at all? The dust build up there and behind the fridge panel builds up large enough for the fridge to not be able to cool itself causing condensation/drippage of this type. Reminder warning.. be sure to shut all power off before vacuuming out behind the back panel of the f fridge, that's where the fan turns. Hope this fixes the problem for you as it did for me!

Why is my kenmore fridge leaking water on the floor out of drip tube

check the back of the fridge. There sometimes is a hose for the defroster that connects to a plastic u trap. It cloggs on mine with dust and mold and the water dosen't reach the pan. It comes off real easy. Wash it out completely in your sink and reinstall. You will be suprised what comes out if it. . Fixed my problem 3x in 20 years. while you have it out from the wall , vaccume all dust and clean the pan. Good luck Phil

Water dripping into the fridge, was told their might be a clogged drip tray but don't know where it is.

the drip pan is under the unit,, along the edges of some models inside, are little alleys that lead to the drip pan, sometimes they fill with ice and need to be cleaned out , look along the inside walls of the freezer

Water coming out of the center top of the

Your defrost drain hose has become dislodged. This happens a lot when people pressure wash their fridges. Look very carefully for a clear frosted looking hose under the panel and reconnect it.

I have a kenmore elite fridg that is not making ice,but i have water at the door. modle # 50509990. THANKS.

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into icemaker ( if there is no cubes in there now ) . If the icemaker dumps the cubes when frozen , replace the water valve . If it doesn't dump , replace the icemaker . Also make sure the coils at the bottom of refrig in front , are clean of dust , lint , pet hair , etc . Also check the plastic hose inside the freezer , to the icemaker , to make sure it is not frozen . If it is , replace the water valve , due to slow drip leak .

Kenmore refrigerator model 363.9711781 water appears daily

This water comes from a plugged up defrost drain tube. Do you see like a cup at the back of your refrigerator connecting using a plastic tube in a hole at the back of your refrigerator ? This cup collects dripping water from your freezer during a defrost cycle - you will notice a hole above it on the ceiling - what drips into this cup and drains out back the hole in your refrigerator wall and into a long drain tube extending down into the drip pan at the bottom of your refrigerator, usually sits ontop of the compressor or in newer systems next to the condenser fan and evaporates. If this drain tube is plugged up with debris water will backflow back into your fridge and drip against the wall and under your cripsers.

During a defrost cycle (when you hear the sizzling sounds and all motors are off, open the door and you should notice water dripping.

If you can manually remove the cup yourself you can pass a piece of pipe cleaner or long cable and dislodge whatever is blocking it or if you can't do that you will need to have it serviced, sometimes there is a seal around base of the plastic tube it's best you don't touch or break it. Makes ure the cup is firmly connected and inserted into the hole, you can try raising the fridge a bit, the front part so it is slightly inclined to back. If all fails, have it serviced, it is a very simply problem easy to repair and common too.

The refrigerator is dripping water at the bottom of the fridge. Everyday we walk by the fridge and see lots of water dripping from the fridge.

Hi, The defrost drain is plugged. Remove the rear panel inside the freezer section and locate the drain hole. Remove all the ice and flush the drain out with hot water to make sure it is open. Some models require an after market drain heater kit. If you will get me a model 3, I can look this up and let you know if you need the kit.
