My vacuum is making a loud whirring sound and is hotter than normal.

Hi Kelsey! I understand how frustrating this must be. Dirty filters or a clog can cause the vacuum to change sound and be hotter than normal.

Here is a quick link to troubleshooting the excessive noise:

NEW MacBookPro crashes! I just bought a new macbookPro and it has crashed on three different programs; won't download the manual from online (get the beach ball) and makes a sound when power-ing u

The two "whirring" noises that you hear on power up is normal. The beauty of having a new macbook is you can reinstall the software very easily and a fresh install should fix your problem. Put the disk that came with the machine into the disk drive and turn the computer off. Turn it back on and press and HOLD the "alt" button until you are given the option of booting from your hard drive or your disk. Choose the disk and when it boots up, FIRST go to disk utility and verify the hard drive. If it comes back with no problems, proceed with the fresh install of the system by following the prompts on the disk.

Bought guitar hero warriors of rock for the xbox 360 and the disk is unreadable. My console only has the 4gb harddrive( non removable i think). It can read call of duty. GH is brand new just out of the box...

From the sound of it, you may need to get a replacement disc. Sometimes during the packaging process games get damaged and if you just bought the game and still have the receipt then you should be able to get a replacement easily. What you may also try is a power cycle on you Xbox 360. Make sure Guitar Hero is in the system tray then unplug the power cable from the wall outlet and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Plug it back in and turn on the console and see if it works.

A tough one. I also suffered from open tray errors often and have found that sometimes all you need is a good laser cleaner ( designed for laptops or pc's ).Hope this helps.

A Game I bought will not work.

Check the inside ring of the disc for a v shape deformation or cracks. also look for dimples. That is usually the problem with some older 360 games.

Some dvd's won't play.

When you get a whirring sound, some click and disk not engaging, that is because lens cannot read the inital track on the CD/DVD.

This is either because disks are scratched , dirty or ruined by light and heath, or because the lens is dirty.

Try using a lens cleaner like the ones here.

If that does not work, then the unit must be taken apart and the lens cleaned with cotton buds and isopropyl alcohol.

XBOX 360 ASSESINS CREED UNREADABLE DISK

I do believe its a problem with the disk. The disk may not be scratched or anything but it could possibly something internally wrong with it. I'd take the disk back and exchange it. Hope this helped! Have a great day!

This Just happened to me. There seems to be a lot of solder issues with the 360. I bit the bullet and tried the towel trick, where you over heat the 360 for about 20 min. I Let it cool for 20 more min, and it now works fine, I have a inner cooler now to keep from overheating again.
