My computer is saying BootMgr is missing !!!

Bootmgr is missing is an error from your system. The most common reasons for BOOTMGR errors include corrupt and misconfigured files, hard drive and operating system upgrade issues, corrupt hard drive sectors, an outdated BIOS, and damaged or loose hard drive interface cables. you can fix it by the following steps:

Firstly, create a bootable CD/USB byWindows Boot GeniusSecondly, set the computer boot from CD/USB after enter into the BIOS menu.Thirdly, start Fix "Bootmgr is missing" with the CD/USB created at the first step.

Cant find drivers for Monitor, Dell E551c OS Vista Home Basic.

You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, thesupport download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operatingsystem. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Can I upgrade my CompaqMV720 computer from Windows ME to Windows XP? If so, how?

I would think that you mast likely can do it. You need a Windows XP disk with a legitimate install key (or Microsoft will give you a hassel). When you are ready to upgrade, turn on or restart your computer and press [Delete] to enter the BIOS. Go to the Boot menu and change the boot order so that your CD/DVD drive is first.
Open the drive and put Windows XP disk in. Press the F10 key to save the changes and exit. when the computer restarts, it will provide several start options. Choose the one that will install Windows XP. From there you just follow the prompts.

HP D9811 monitor freezes and then starts blinking on and off

Since you mentioned that your mouse freezes and your keyboard freezes, I'm pretty sure your problem does not exist in your monitor at all, but in the computer itself.

The first place I would look for a fix is in your video card. Since you started with a 98 machine and upgraded to XP, I'm not sure how that was done. It has been problematic in my experience to run a FAT32 file system under a XP operating system, and in those days it was a common upgrade.

The problem with it was, and is, that the drivers are built for an NTFS file system and FAT32 is on your pc.(maybe)

The first change I would make (well, as a tech, it would be to erase the hard disk and reinstall the os, but let's just talk about the fix here) is to look at the drivers for the video card, and check with the manufacturer of the video card for the most current one.

If that is already the most current, check the file structure to see if it is FAT32; and if so, consider backing up your data and reinstalling the OS under NTFS files structure.

good luck

Resolution automatically changed on startup

If your monitor is actually the Zenith 17" HDTV, the native resolution is 1366x768. You may be able to "force" this resolution using powerstrip. It is freeware and you can download it here.
