You might try to touch the screen/pad and hold your finger down for 5 seconds. Also, lok in Device Manager to ensure that it is enabled, else it will not work.

My toshiba laptop cursor doesnot move when i touch the tray pad

Hi!

I had the same problem after my fat cat sat on my keyboard. This is how I fixed it. At the top of the keyboard there is a F9 key. If you look closely at this key, it also has two pictures of the mouse pad. This key is a toggle that turns the mouse pad on and off. Down near the lower left corner of the keyboard is a key marked FN. Hold down the FN key and press the F9 key. That will turn the mouse pad back on.

Touch pad

If you have the drivers for the touchpad installed then you should be able to run your finger up or down the right hand side of the touch pad and have it scroll the page you are one.

If it doesn't work then you may need to either reinstall the drivers or find the program that handles the touch pad settings (usually found in program files) and turn the scrolling feature back on.

Hope that helps :)

How do I set my touch pad to be less sensative to the pointer arrow on a Desktop Compaq V600?

You didn't mention which OS (or a specific touchpad) but in Windows most of the modifiable settings for a touchpad are in the mouse settings within the control panel. Many touchpad drivers will add an extra tab at the top of the mouse settings just for this purpose (in the case of Synaptics - Device Settings).
