Does it appear momentarily when you press the clock key? If so, then you probably have the "energy-saver" feature turned on. To turn it off (so it "wastes" energy by displaying the clock all the time), press and hold that key. When you first press the key, the clock time will display... (Keep holding that key!) Then in about 7 seconds, the display will go blank.... (Keep holding that key!) Then in about 3 more seconds, the display will come back on. Now you can let go of that key, and the clock time will continue to display.

That's an enegy saving "feature" - the ability to turn off the clock. Usually (in most models), you can turn the clock display back on by pressing and holding the clock 10 to 15 seconds.

Inverts.. if you mean the display goes upside down, that's a "feature" of your graphics card. First, press Ctrl/right-cursor, or maybe it's Ctrl/Alt/right-cursor to rotate the display. Then open the display properties, find the Hot Keys option, and disable this feature. The Help function for the graphics should have an area on Hot Keys too.

How do I set my speed dial numbers?

Which ones? System speed is programmed from station 10 or 11 and goes in the 6xx's, depending on your version of software. The start is FEATURE 00 FEAT 6xx and dial the number You can continue programming more numbers by pressing FEAT 6xx or Feat 00 to exit.

Personal speed dial numbers are programmed similarly, except they are in locations 80-99 on each phone and can be programmed from the phone if it's a system phone.

Auto Dial buttons use blank buttons on your set. Feature 00 pressing the button and dialing the outside number store those. Again, Feature another button will let you program another button, or Feature 00 ends programming.

System works fine, plays well etc. However, the digital readout is no longer visible. Ideas?

There is typically a dimming feature among these types of systems. There may be a button on your remote/system panel to adjust how dimmed the display through which you can adjust it. If not, then try to enter the system setup mode and adjust the brightness of the display.

OR if the digital readout is not very dim and is in fact blank then your LCD panel has failed. You should replace the panel or get a new receiver. I would start by calling the customer support line as this will surely be under the manufacturer's warranty.

if shutter is working it is the dfective CCD so replace the CCD.

STANDARD PROCEDURE - TRANSPONDER PROGRAMMING USING A DRB III® SCAN TOOL All Sentry Keys included with the vehicle are pre-programmed to work with the Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS) when it is shipped from the factory. The Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) can be programmed to recognize up to a total of eight Sentry Keys. When programming a blank Sentry Key transponder, the key must first be cut to match the ignition lock cylinder of the vehicle for which it will be used. The vehicle's four digit PIN code will be required to complete this task since you will need it to enter the Secured Access Mode in the SKIM. The following steps must be completed using a DRB III® scan tool:
  1. Insert the blank key into the ignition and turn it to the RUN position.
  2. Using a DRB III® scan tool, select "Theft Alarm," "SKIM," "Miscellaneous," and then "Program New Key."
  3. Enter the four digit PIN code using the DRB III® scan tool. When programming is completed, the SKIM will exit Secured Access Mode and the DRB III® scan tool will display the results of your attempt to program the key. One of five distinct results may be displayed. All five are listed below:
    • "Programming Successful" is displayed if the Sentry Key programming is successful.
    • "Learned Key in Ignition" is displayed if the key in the ignition has already been programmed into that vehicle's SKIM.
    • "Eight Keys Already Learned (At The Maximum) Programming Not Done" is displayed if eight keys have already been programmed into the SKIM. In this case, if a new key needs to be added due to a lost or defective key, the "Erase All Keys" command (which requires entering the Secured Access Mode) has to be performed. Following the "Erase All Keys" command, all keys that will be used to operate the vehicle MUST be reprogrammed to the SKIM.
    • "Programming Not Attempted" is displayed after an "Erase All Keys" function is executed.
    • "Programming Key Failed" is displayed if further diagnosis is required.
To learn additional keys, turn the ignition OFF, remove the learned key, insert the next new blank key, and repeat the steps from the beginning.
“CUSTOMER LEARN” MODE This feature is only available on domestic vehicles or those which have a U.S. country code designator. This procedure requires access to at least two valid Sentry Keys. If two valid Sentry Keys are not available, Sentry Key programming will require the use of a DRB III® scan tool.
The steps required to program Sentry Keys with two valid Sentry Keys follows:
  1. Obtain the blank Sentry Key(s) that need to be programmed. Cut the keys to match the ignition lock cylinder mechanical key codes.
  2. Insert one of the two valid Sentry Keys into the ignition switch and turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. After the ignition switch has been in the ON position for longer than three seconds, but no more than fifteen seconds, cycle the ignition switch back to the OFF position. Replace the first valid Sentry Key in the ignition lock cylinder with the second valid Sentry Key and turn the ignition switch back to the ON position. The second valid Sentry Key must be inserted within 15 seconds of removing the first valid Sentry key.
  4. About ten seconds after the completion of Step 3, the indicator light will start to flash and a single audible chime tone will sound to indicate that the system has entered the "Customer Learn" programming mode.
  5. Within sixty seconds of entering the "Customer Learn" programming mode, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, replace the valid Sentry Key with a blank Sentry Key transponder, and turn the ignition switch back to the ON position.
  6. About ten seconds after the completion of Step 5, a single audible chime tone will sound and the indicator light will stop flashing and stay on solid for three seconds and then turn off to indicate that the blank Sentry Key has been successfully programmed. The SKIS will immediately exit the "Customer Learn" programming mode and the vehicle may be started using the newly programmed Sentry Key.
These steps must be completed in their entirety for each additional Sentry Key to be programmed. If any of the above steps are not completed in the given sequence, or within the allotted time, the SKIS will exit the "Customer Learn" programming mode and the programming will be unsuccessful. The SKIS will also automatically exit the "Customer Learn" programming mode if:
  • It sees a non-blank Sentry Key when it should see a blank.
  • If it has already programmed eight (8) valid Sentry Keys.
  • If the ignition switch is turned to the OFF position for more than about fifty (50) seconds.
NOTE: If you attempt to start the vehicle while in “Customer Learn” mode (LED flashing), the vehicle will behave as though an invalid key is being used (i.e. the engine will stall after two (2) seconds of running). No faults will be logged.
NOTE: Once a Sentry Key has been programmed to a particular vehicle, it cannot be used on any other vehicle.

I need an extra line to ring on my phone

First, you'll have to know what the line number is in the system for the new line.
To get the line port number, on the set/s that the new line appears on press feature *0 and the the new line.
The display should say for example L025:LINE 05.
The port number of the example is port 025.
write the port number of the new line down for future reference.
Programming2.gif is done on M7310, M7324 and T7316 sets.
To set up ringing you need to enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow). The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you wish to program ringing on. Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should sat LINE ACCESS
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display should say LINE ASSIGNMENT.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display ask for a line number. press list
The display should say line 001: appear& ring
press next key (lower right arrow)til you see the line port number you wish to program
The display should say line 0xx: appear only
press the Chng key till it says appear & ring

press the release key when finished

Screen not working

It could be the 'back light' is burned out.
Press Fn and F5 simultaneously to make sure the display
priority is not set for the built-in screen.
Press the 'brightness up' key a few times.

Display problems
Here are some typical display problems and their solutions:
The screen is blank.
Display Auto Off may have gone into effect. Press any key to
activate the screen.
You may have activated the instant password feature by pressing
Fn and F1 simultaneously. If you have registered a password, press
any key, type the password and press Enter. If no password is
registered, press any key. The screen reactivates and allows you to
continue working.
If you are using the built-in screen, make sure the display priority is
not set for an external monitor. To do this, press Fn and F5
simultaneously (once). If this does not correct the problem, press Fn
and F5 simultaneously again to return the display priority to its
previous setting.
HINT: Holding the Fn key and pressing the F5 key several times will
advance you through the display options.
If you are using an external monitor:
❖ Check that the monitor is turned on.
❖ Check that the monitor’s power cord/cable is firmly plugged in.

external monitor

Display screen does not work

First of all, try a restart with the monitor attached.
Secondly try going to the system preferences panel- It should be in the dock - the icon with the apple and the light switch.
Try to "detect displays" and see if it comes up in the menu and if the screen responds..
