Capucinatore problem? When I try to draw milk through the cappucinotore, it works for about 2 seconds and then cuts off. I have thoroughly cleaned all of the components but it didn't make any difference

Re: Capucinatore problem?

Try programming the cappucinatore button. First try holding it down for about 20 seconds while steaming. See if it will steam for 20 seconds after that without holding the button down.

My jura X7 system is rinsing with milk. When pressing the rinse button, the machine is drawing milk to rinse instead of water??

The milk tubes should be submersed into water with a milk cleaning agent. sounds like you've left the milk tubes drawing from the fridge with milk in it.

Despite having thoroughly cleaned the cappucinator and descaling the system recently, we just don't seem to get real steamed foam. It appears to be just hot milk with a few bubbles on the top.

when you remove the cappucinotore, there is a little clear plastic tube sticking up from the top of it. this is an air entrance oriface. this is where the air is brought into the steamed milk in order to froth it. the hole is very small, like the size of a hair. You need to clean this, or if you cant get it clean, your machine came with a spare one. It was in the cardboard box with the cleaning tablets, o rings, and descale tabs. Once this is clean, air bubbles can get into the milk and you should have nice foam. let me know if that doesnt work.

DeLonghi Perfecta ESAM5500 when trying to make a cappucino it wont **** up the milk any ideas thanks

Had this exact problem a few times on a cleaned well maintained milk jug top with an ESAM5500M. Delonghi 'repaired' it by sending a new milk jug frothing top.

It's caused by milk fat deposits, the frother part on the milk jug may look clean but deep inside it's not. I clean mine with pipe cleaners, detergent and hot water and still it wouldn't froth.

The problem re-occurs for me every 6 months or so. You could buy the milk fat remover solution to clean it. Personally I just boil the whole milk jug frother in detergent and the again in descaling solution, that's fixed this problem twice now, although I think it will eventually corrode the 'o' rings on the frother, still cheaper than buying a new frother part each time though.

If it still doesn't work after that, the only other reason for this problem I found mention of was caused by a broken rubber seal where the milk jug fits to the machine. It's most likely to be milk fat deposits inside the frother though.

Our PrimaDonna coffee machine doesnt appear to be takeing in any milk from the jug to make latte's or cappuciono's, is there any way of sorting this out ?

Most common cause of this problem is a blockage in the milk jug. First thing you should try is soaking the complete jug top in a quality milk line cleaner (available from specialist coffee machine retailers) for at least an hour and then rinse thoroughly. Then try running a fresh cleaning solution through the jug instaed of milk. Good luck and post again if this doesnt work.

No Cappuccinatore or Steam and Loud Bang!

The steam is ariving to the steam wand with a thin teflon pipe which is conected to a easy clip on union. So probably by the presure of the steam in the pipe since the capucinatote was gogled the pipe have been came out from the union so the steam is leaking in the machine. Be carefull not work the steam since the water in the machine can make an electrical short and damage the machine completly. Now in order to fix the problem first you must remove the top and side panel in order to connect back the steam pipe to the wand union and second to clean the capucinatore by complitly desasemble it put it in special detergent and leave it fro some our so any dirt will be removed more easily and by a good visual inspection you can see that all holes are cleaned from any dry milk.

Make sure the milk lid is thoroughly clean and that hot running water flows through the openings freely. Make sure you're using 2% milk. Make sure it's cold 2% milk. If you're already done those things, it's probably a bad "coupler unit." That means sending your machine to a service center. In that event, I hope that your machine is still under warranty. This is what happened to my ESAM3500. The good news is that I got my machine back, with a new "coupler unit," in just one week, and now I am back to "like new" cappuccinos

Milk not frothing, internal door not positioned

Make sure that the milk container lid is thoroughly clean and that running hot water flows through the openings freely. Make sure you're using 2% milk. Make sure it's cold 2% milk.
The front door problem may be two loose screws in the back plane that holds the infuser unit. Turn off machine; remove the infuser unit and thoroughly clean. Behind the now removed infuser unit you will see two hex head socket screws; use a hex screwdriver to make sure these haven't come loose. If so, tightened them, but don't overdo it. Now reinsert the infuser and see if the door latching problem has disappeared.

Saeco royal professional excesive hot water and steam though capp

These machines run water through the boilers and is heated to either 192 degrees for the main boiler or 250 degrees for the steam boiler. There is mineral in all water except distilled. That mineral deposits itself inside you boilers and needs to be removed. I guessing that the water hardness in your menu is set on 1, but should be set on 4. You need to descale more often than not enough or you get what is happening to you right now. I am hoping that a good descaling will do the trick, but it might take 2, that it needs. Use a commercial descaler for espresso machines, not vinegar which will leave a taste for about 2 weeks.

Frother not working

The frother does not have a vacuum, it uses venturi pressure to draw up milk through a venturi at the top of the steam feed. The milk side is clogged from not cleaning enough. soak in boiling water for a few minutes and try to run it in steam mode for a while... if that doesnt work, a light lye solution will dissolve the milk residue clogging it. neutralize the lye with vinegar drawn through after the clog is gone.

(lye will dissolve you as well as milk... use gloves and don't put your face near it while it's working.)
