since the move tv has not returned to color quality...no reset button visable. unable to correct color with remote via menu.

The first thing that I would want to know is what is in that room that could be sending out a big magnetic field. If there is nothing in the room then it is a possible antenna problem and if that is not the case then it is a coincidence that it happened and depending on the age of the set, you might want to see about getting a new one. You can take another set in the room and see if the problem persists to rule out interference.
