I have picture but no sound. We can hook it up to a surround sound system and hear it but no longer own surround sound. Need to have sound play on its own through TV.

Get rid of the receiver and use the tv's inputs and make sure audio is enabled in the tv's menu for the tv speakers.

Sound issue through Home theatre when pulling up applications

Smart TV's make up the audio output for your smart tv apps. You will need to use the Optical output of the TV and plug it into an available Optical input to the home theater receiver. Make note of the name of the input on the home theater receiver (i.e. CD/DVD, TV, DVD, etc) because that is the input you'll have to select on the receiver to hear the App audio. Hope that helps

I am connected to the TV from the sound system. Of my six speakers connected, I can only get sound from the SW, and the front L & R speakers. No sound is coming out of the Center or Rear L & R. ...

You don't say HOW the 'TV' audio is carried to the RT2500? TV's are usually the end of the chain, not a link in it. For multichannel audio you need a multichannel digital source. Is that the TV or would it be the cable/sat box? Try running a digital audio cable from one of those to the RCA.

I do not know how to connect to my tv to get a picture

hi here is what you can do try plug red green and blue plugs into phillips it should be color coded and then plug same colors into back of tv colors should match then press tv input until you get pic make sure dvd players is on and playing or you can use s video plug only good for pic you wont get sound you would need to plug in rca for audio and turn tv input to s video or if you have hdmi input all you need is one cord for video and sound and you can get full hd on it if player and tv is both capable so plug it in to hdmi 1 or 2 and turn tv input to hdmil 1 or 2 where ever you plug it in also make sure dvd players is on and playing

Occasionally, when watching dvd, thru HDMI the picture clips out.

Yes you are right, this may occur due to display section problem, so please check the display section on your dvd player to resolve your issue.

System echos when dvd is in. When I mute the Bose sytem I can hear the TV sound without the echo.

The echo you hear is the audio delay between your TV speakers and Bose speakers. Muting (or lowering the volume) on the TV will eliminate the echo. Some TVs have a setting to turn of TV speakers entirely, allowing you to listen to your TVs audio strictly through your Bose system.
