The camera on my laptop does not work

First uninstall the older device drivers and then install the latest device drivers. You can also download the latest webcam drivers from the internet and install the new device drivers.

Now go to manufacture site & in the download option, select your model number.
After selecting the laptop model number from site, click on 'Software & Drivers Downloads'.
Now you need to choose your operating system & select the given updates & follow all instructions to download it.
After complete download, install supported driver for your laptop webcam. After install driver, reboot your laptop again and check that your webcam is working properly or not.
I hope it will fix your webcam not working issue if laptop is not facing any hardware issue.

Do your PC support the above hardware requirements?
The most common input no support would be your graphic card is not up to the mark to play the PC games.

Is your graphics card drivers up to date to the latest?
Have you updated your DirectX to the latest version?

Hope it helps.

Hello janicezavitz,
this is usually a driver problem: your computer and the video card does not work properly (or the wrong software driver is being used for the video card or maybe the refresh rate is out of range for the monitor). you can try to plug in a different monitor swap the video card into another pc or try a new one make sure the correct software driver is being used for the video card.

or try this:
1. Restart your PC and Boot into safe mode
2. right click on my computer.
3. Go to device manager
4. uninstall your video card (display adapter). Be sure to note the type of video card you have!!.
5. restart your PC again and now start up normally
4. adjust your desktop resolution (800x600 or 1024x768 etc) The lines should now go away .If not it might be your display or monitor problem.
5. and if the lines are gone, you should download and install the latest drivers

Can't set 1680x1050 resolution on viewsonic monitor

I found the solution for my problem.
Initially I thought it's a monitor problem and was trying to find the drivers for it.
The problems is not with my monitor but with the video adapter I use.

My video adapter has a intel chipset (Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family). Apparently the driver that I was using was quite old.

The only thing I had to do is:
1. Download the latest video adapter driver
2. Uninstall the current video adapter driver
3. Restart the system (Windows XP)
4. Install the new driver.
5. Restart the system.

Monitor screen goes blue after game install.

You have an incompatability between the drivers and Windows. Uninstall the games. Is everything all right now? Upgade your video and sound drivers. You can download these from the manufacturers web site. Now reinstall the games.

Computer Moniter screen turned purple

This is a problem with the video cards hardware or the driver itself depending on your card you should updaate your cards driver from the appropriate site, right click the desktop>properties>settings>advanced>ada... will then see the name and manufacturer of your graphic card
go to the appropriate website and download the latest driver, here are the three main graphic card manufacturers websites
1) nvidia.....
other things to check are
1.make sure your graphic card is securely fitted and if power is required to the card, then check the power connector is securly fitted and inserted
2.try changing your monitors lead from the v.g.a connector to the d.v.i connector at the back of the card, the v.g.a. is a blue connector and the d.v.i. is a white connector, and the d.v.i requires a d.v.i to v.g.a converter
3.where applicable install any monitor drivers however these are rarely required the direct x diagnostic utility, press start>run>type dxdiag >press enter, then go to the display tab and run the "test direct 3d" test
5.finally check all cables are securly fitted
if after these tests and tasks you still experience problems then change the graphics card and run the tests again,if you experience more problems then a new video/graphic card is required
any problems let me know
good luck .......

Monitor "dead"

Sound to me like the Flyback may have gone. But it being a 17" CRT, it may just be cheaper and less hassle to go and buy a new unit.
