I just got a 2001 5th wheel with a 13,500 btu Coleman TSR Mach A/C unit and it runs fine with just the fan on. When I turn on the cool air it overloads my generator which is a Honda 3000 EUI with a 23.3 amp connector. I ran an extension cord from my house to the 5th wheel and it trips my house breaker also. Any way to troubleshoot this? I am an auto mechanic of 23 years and want to try fixing this myself before I start paying $100.00 hr to shop.

- If you read my listing you will see that I have pugged it in to my house and it still trips breaker. I removed the overload switch on top of the compressor and now everything works fine. So I am going to order a had start compressor kit and replace the overload capacitor also. Everything will cost $30.00. I will let you all know if it works on Friday when the parts come in!

The simplest answere to start is it' looks like the compressor is the ssue." Either it has siezed"or in my oppinion needs a proper household power to activate it. If the voltage drop on these units is a little below a certain value, it will not start and will burn out. Thats why i suggest a household power be tried first. I feel your generator is a little undersized. You will only know once you have applied household power.

I built a 70W solar panel. The cells are housed in a wood frame and topped with plexiglass put down with a bead of silicone to seal all tight. One only 1/4" drain hole on back underside to drain moisture, and permit air to get in or out due to thermal expansion and contraction. On hot sunny day, the cells heat up as they work, and create a significant amount of condensate on the inside of the plexi. Perhaps I need a lesser amount of "air" indside the panel box, and I'm considering sandwiching the solar cells between 2 sheets of glass with no drain. Do solar cells need room to breathe?

We just bought a 1996 motorhome that has the solar panel on top of the ac unit but someone has clipped the wires in air return and removed the Solar Monitor light assembly. I have good voltage coming from panel but need this unit to go between panel wires and battery wires. Where can I get this assembly or does anyone know where I can get a part number for it. Thanks
