Question about Motorola Mobility Bluetooth Hands Free Headset Wireless Headset

1 Answer

Garbled Bluetooth My motorola Bluetooth H500 works fine except that people often say that I sound muffled or garbled on their end. Doesn't matter if I'm home or on the road or in a store. It's like I'm on the other side of a door and they are saying speak slower and clearer. Never has worked right.

Re: Garbled Bluetooth

Most likely you're covering the phone's bluetooth radio. Try putting your phone in a shirt pocket closer to your headset. Try it right side up, then upside down. Sometime the bluetooth radio (or antenna) is at the bottom of the phone.

I have a new droid by motorola and an old h500 bluetooth headset. It still pairs beautifully with my old blackberry, but won't pair with the droid. HMMM? Any tricks? What am i doing wrong?

You need to put your H500 into "pairing mode" by pressing the call button until the light turns steady blue, instead of blinking. Your droid will then see it when you are in the Bluetooth Settings screen under Networks & Wireless. I just did this myself last night and it worked fine. Be forewarned, however, that you cannot voice-dial with your bluetooth - only answer calls. There are several forums out there that are bashing Motorola & Google for not having this basic functionality.

Problems pairing up a Nokia 6301 with my Motorola H500

Try power cycling the phone. Turn the Nokia off, wait 10 seconds, then turn back on and try again. It really does help sometimes. Let us know if this doesn't help.

Motorola Razor V3M and H500

This is a common issue with headsets is they stop working properly when they go bad. Not all of them of course, and the symptoms are different. Take it back and get a replacement.

H500 won't pair with Blackberry Curve

It might already have been figured out but if you hold the answer button on the headset down until the light stays on steady, it is in pairing mode. You can then go to bluetooth setup on the Curve and it will find the headset.
