Question about Philips 32PW6006 32" TV

Television reverting to standby

At switch on sound and picture appear for about 1 minute then TV reverts to standby. After five or six attempts TV will remain on with no further problems. Capacitor C2455 has been changed. I suspect the problem is related to the warm up time of the CRT. Any mods available?

Re: Television reverting to standby

Hi Phil.

Try adjusting A1 on loptx it is very critical & can cause the symptoms you are describing.

You could be right in saying the crt, Philips tubes are notorius for failing.

Im hoping your a tv tech if you are not DO Not do what I have written below tapping neck to hard can cause seriouse injury to your self.

Run set & tap the glass neck of crt if pic flickers or you see red blue or green flashing while tapping tube neck it will be the tube.

Let me know results there are a few things that can be done.

Why does the lg crt tv model 21fs9rg am working on keep reverting to stand by after i have switched it on?

Could be a bad remote. turn the TV on and then take the batteries out of the remote to see if it shuts off. If not, you know that the remote is bad or the batteries are low. I would suspect the power supply next.

It sounds that the LOT [Line Output Transistor or Line output transformere] to your TV is faulty.

Visit this site for more details. Type in the site name Electro-help either to Google or Yahoo search box [not in the address bar of your browser], and click search. It is an electronic equipments service help site. All details you want are there. Note the position of hyphen in between words in site name, when you type it in. My sanyo tv have standby power. and then cannot switch the secondary switch

Hello, it sounds like a power supply problem. When the powersupply in the tv detects a short or a problem it automatically reverts to safe mode or standby. It could be just a resistor or it could be something else. If its just the resistor or similar you'd be looking at around $100. Get a couple of quotes and pick the best. Thank you, I hope Ive helped.

No picture, black screen

Does the unit power up ok or revert into standby? or are both green and red lights on, on the control button?, this tv has common problems with the power supply failing and there is a repair kit available.

Loewe Aconda 9381 HD/DR+ Will not switch

Could be loss of voltage on secondary or problem on Power supply. Check 4/5 (depnding on chassis) wickman fuses on secondary if none are o/c then replace power supply components with Kit from Loewe. Part number 90415.900.

Should take tv engineer about 1 hour (max) to replace parts form kit.

Blinking red light

If your Sony TV is hooked up to a good signal and is set up correctly, but only clicks and has no picture or sound, and even the menu will not show up on the screen, then it means that the main power supply has stopped working. I usually find that a small crack in the solder joint of the horizontal drive transformer or a shorted flyback will cause the large horizontal output transistor to short out, and this shorts out the switching transistors in the main power supply which then causes the Sony 0.1 ohm fuse resistor to open up. I have also seen power surges or power failures (brown-outs) cause the switching transistors to short out. In any case, the set absolutely should be serviced by someone experienced in repairing Sony TV's.

Panasonic colour tv TX-29P150X (Made in Malysia)

sounds like you have a intermittant thermal condition and this could be the regulator IC the video jungle/sweep Ic. Anything in the switching poewer supply or sweep curcuit. This is a hard one unless your there with a meter and a schematic to measure voltages when the set goes out then you can use a can of freez sprasy to lightly spray on the supected part. Sorry i cant be of more help. Good Luck
