WILL NOT INITIALIZE HP DESIGNJET Z6100 POWER LIGHT BLINKS GREEN, BACK LIGHT ON CONTROL PANEL COMES ON, NO TEXT. THEN POWERS OFF. P/S LIGHT COMES ON BLUE. PRINT MECH BOARD 24V LIGHT OFF, VPOWER2 LIGHT OFF.
WILL NOT RUN ANY DIAGNOSE.
HAVE REPLACED THE POWER SUPPLY SAME PROBLEM.

When you banding vertical do you mean Across paper feed direction OR With paper feed direction?
If its across the feed direction the chances are thje issue remains with the individual printhead, Print out a quality maintenance print to find which Printhead is not working as well as wanted, then replace ( or clean using the plotters control panel under image maintenance.
Errors along the feed direction can be down to Software/ Main Pca /
Corrective Action: Try the following: 1. Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer. 2. Replace the Primer Assembly . 3. Replace the PrintMech PCA . 4. Replace the Interconnect PCA .
Service Station error. Switch the power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the power cord. Check the Primer Tubes. Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer. Make sure that the Service Station path is clear. Remove any visible obstacles (e.g. screws, plastic parts, etc...) restricting the movement of the Service Station. If the System Error continues, replace the Service Station. If the System Error continues, replace the PrintMech PCA
ISS PCA problem.
Corrective Action: Try the following:
Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the
Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer.
If the System Error continues, replace the Ink Supply Tubes and Trailing Cable.
