The first thing that I would consider would be a defective lid switch. It can be tested for continuity using a multimeter or ohmmeter. A defective lid switch can cause this condition. I don't know what sort of washer you have, but check out the video at the following link and see if it helps you out. Sure hope so and sorry for your trouble. Best wishes.

Maytag Epic Z Washing Machine shuts down during spin, can I fix it myself?

Hello Brain;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Error codes are generalized. Both of your codes are drain relative. They will tell you to clean your drain, but there is more to it than that.

You may have a bad drain water level switch, a plugged drain line....

Please send me your model number, So I can see what your have.

Spin does has stopped working. all the functions work normally but the washer has stopped spinning.

The lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. Here is a link to the part you will need.

Spin cycle starts, speeds up, then stops spinning

This fault often occurs when something (like a small coin or a paper tissue) has blocked the drain pump!
The only way to fix this would be to get a service engineer to remove the pump and check for a blockage, unless of course you are an experienced electrician or technician and don't mind doing it yourself.

Kenmore 70 series washer

Hi juanmapr,
The next step after checking the power would be to put the washer into the spin cycle and see if the machine will spin. This will tell you two things. 1 It will tell you that no water is coming in at the start of the wash cycle. 2. It will tell you if the rest of the parts are functioning properly.
If the machine will not spin when in the spin cycle and you do not hear the motor turning then you may have a bad timer.
If the machine will spin but when you start a wash cycle the water will not fill then you will need a new water inlet valve.
Please send me the model number and any other questions you may have if this does not fixYa and I can ship you any parts you may need for your repair. Or just let me know if you need a step by step how to do any repair, I am glad to help. Please dont forget to rate me.

Estate washer won't spin

If it still agitates and fills, this is most likely due to a faulty lid switch.

Washer won't stop spinning

i am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years, if the fault is not right after he has called then write to the manager of the company, if he is sole operator then write to him, explaining it like you said above, ask that the engineer stay and watch till the very end of the cycle as thats where the fault is, if he has already worked on the machine fetch them back? alternatively just ask a different engineer who knows what he is on about, to me this sounds like a circuit board problem either the timer or main pcb module, i presume this is a computer control washer with a digital display, hope this has helped you at least as to where to start, thank you.
