Whirlpool range model GJP34802 oven element is not heating up. There is current to the element but no heat. Is this a relay on the control board issue?

The element has already been changed and the wires are all good. The oven starts into the bake cycle but then the power just dies off. There is continuity there.

If you have current to the element, that means there is no issue with the relay or the board. Simply you need to replace the element. It seems to be open circuit.(Im assuming you have tested for voltage on the element terminals when power was on and having selected the oven program). If you have no power, then i would say the power section or switch section supplying power to the element is faulty. t race the rires back to the switch or board and then inspect.

The whirlpool ovens are very impractical. Trace back slowly from the element until you get up to the source of the power. If you have found no problems up to the point of the source(where the power should be comming from),then that board is the problem. You will need to know a little about electronics to test at component level especially if triacs or thristors are used to switch power. Possibly relays are used. They can be checked easily enough. Otherwise buy the baord or control and simply replace. Let mr know..

If there is voltage to the element then the element is bad. You can usually see a burnt spot when they go out. Disconnect the wires and It will show continuity on an ohm meter when good.

Whirlpool Accubake control panel not working. Model YGY399LXUS03.

I found this on a repair site for your model: The oven control board has relays that send voltage to the bake and broil circuits according to the user settings and sensor input. If the control board is defective, it may not send voltage to the heating components. However, this is rarely the case. Before replacing the control board, first test all of the heating components. If you determine that all of the heating components are working properly, replace the oven control board. Since it's not easy to test the oven control board, you will have to replace the control board if you suspect it is defective.

Element heats up when we only put oven light on

Stove will not turn off CHECK

Temperature Control Thermostat

If the oven won't turn off the oven thermostat is often the cause of the problem. The electrical contacts inside the oven thermostat can weld themselves together and then the oven won't turn off. If this happens, turn off power to the entire appliance at the household circuit breaker or fuse. The oven thermostat usually cannot be tested and must be replaced if defective.

Oven Control Board

The oven control board has a set of relays that turn on and off power to the bake and broil circuits according to the customer settings and sensor input. If the oven won't turn off it could be that one of the relays on the oven control board is shorted closed, providing voltage to the heating circuit. It can be dangerous if the oven won't turn off. Don't leave the oven unattended without turning off power to the oven.

Relay board:
Some ovens are equipped with a relay board. This circuit board has several relays which control the switching of electrical current to the oven heat source. If the oven won't turn off it may be that one or more of the relays on the relay board have failed. If this happens replace the relay board. The relays on the board are not sold separately. ALSO CHECK THE BAKE AND BROIL ELEMENT.

Whirlpool gold double oven model #gbd307pdb. upper oven lower heating element burned out. replace lower element. it does not get hot. upper element heats up. control board works. is this the thermos

You will have to see if there is power to the element. It is possible that the relay contacts burned when the element burned out. There is a fusable link but this would shut down both the top and bottom elements. If the relay is burned out the control board will need replacing or rebuilding.

I have Whirlpool RBS305PDB16.The bottom broiler element will not heat up only the top.Any ideas on the problem?

the broil element
is the heating element that is found at the top of the oven and produces a very high heat for broiling. If the broil element isn't working, you should first do a visual inspection for signs that the element has blistered or separated. If the element appears normal then you can check for continuity with a multi-meter. Remove power from the appliance before performing this test. Remove the back panel and locate the terminals for the broil element and inspect the terminals and wires for signs of overheating or damage.

If there is no continuity then the element will need to be replaced. If the wires are damaged then they will need to be repaired. If the element is ok then you will need to check the broil circuit to determine the cause. This involves live voltage checks and should only be performed by qualified persons. Components to check include fuses, if the range is equipped, and oven control thermostat or electronic control. Depending on the manufacturer of the element, you will normally read between 19 ohms and 115 ohms

Most modern ovens use an electronic control board
to control the oven functions. These models will use the control board to operate the oven safety valve on a gas range or oven, and the bake and broil elements on an electric range or oven. If there is no power to the igniter circuit, or the element circuits, then you should check the control board to verify that there is power at the appropriate output relay. These are live voltage checks and should be performed by qualified persons only. If there is no output voltage then the control should be replaced.

Oven does not heat

This clicking sound.. If it is coming from the control panel area could be indicative of a relay that is malfunctioning.
For giggles try the oven on just broil. See if the upper element comes on and stays on, or if it too shuts down.
If it stays on then you most likely have a bad control board.
If it shuts off like the bake element and does not come back on, I would carefully inspect your power cord and cord connections as well as the range outlet.
Good luck!

Getting a error code F3E2

The F3 E2 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board in the range senses an over-temperature condition in the oven. This can be caused by a failed temperature sensor probe, a wiring problem between the sensor and the control board, or a failed electronic oven control board. If the oven is apparently not overheating when this error code appears, then your likely failure is the temperature sensor probe. If the oven is overheating, then you likely have a failed electronic oven control board due to a stuck relay not cycling the oven heating element off properly. I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair this oven failure. If you want to attempt to diagnose and repair this failure yourself, resubmit your question with additional details.

Oven slow to heat

In alot of ovens preheat will cause the both the broil and bake element to come on. You are most likely getting heat from the broil element. This means either the bake element is bad or the relay on the oven control is bad. If the element shows resistance with an ohm meter then replace the oven control board.
