Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
I can not remember the password to get in my wrt45g router
The easiest method of resetting your Linksys router’s password is to reset your router back to the default factory settings. This is done by simply holding down the reset button located on the back of the unit for at least 30 seconds. Once the router has been reset, it must be reconfigured. Using your web browser go to URL address http://192.168.1.1. You will then be prompted to login to your router. A log-in screen asking for the password will automatically appear. At this time enter the default password “admin”, in lower case letters into the password field. The username field may be left blank at this time. (Note: both the default username and default password are set to “admin” on some of the newer Linksys router models).

Testimonial: "precise answer that worked! thanks!"
Are you trying to access the router set up.
There is not default user name for the router. Keep it blank. the default password will be " admin ". If that doesn't work the router password must be changed. Try some of your passwords and see if that opens the set up page. If nothing is woirking then you will need to reset the router and set up the router again.

The only option I can provide to you is to reset the router to its default settings. FYI: This could affect your home network and with your DSL modem's configuration because all the settings that you have on the router will go back to default settings.
There is a reset button located at the back of the router. Its a small thin hole you would need a pen or a pin to hold it down for 30secs. After resetting the router open a browser and type in 192.168.1.1 on the address bar to launch the log-in screen for the router. leave the UN box blank, for the password type in the word "admin".
