Fish a piece of #14 copper wire from inside of tank through hole.cut end of new plastic line [of same size]on an angle.slide new line over the wire to the hole.with a pair of needle nose pliers, grip line & wire inside it. push them both through the hole.some silicone spray & twisting a bit will help.when you can reach hose through filler opening, remove wire and cut off the end of the line you beat up w/ the pliers

One cylinder fires till i throttle it

could it be water in the gas? vent a little gas( threw the Schrader valve on the fuel distribution rail to the injectors) into a clear glass plastic jar or something and see if it looks like water instead of gas or some water mixed with gas. if it is, then separate the water from the gas and pour the gas back into the tank and keep venting gas till it's mostly clear... should run almost normal.. and you could try "heat" fuel additive , or some low cost product in the fuel additive section at walmart or any place,, designed to remove water from your fuel. but if it's a lot of water, i would empty the tank . maybe if you carefully remove the fuel line with a fuel line coupling removal tool and then turn the key on and off and on and off over and over till all the water is gone or even the entire contents of the fuel tank.. did you(or someone) put some gas in the car from a gas can that was for your mower that would have been rained in?

After a couple hours riding power dies after half throttle. if I shut machine off for 5 minutes it runs fine again. temperature runs between 130-140

Confirm that the tiny tiny hole on the gas cap vent is not plugged!!!
This is such a common failure and it has been know to crush the plastic fuel tanks. The pump pulls a vacuum on the tank and eventually the walls of the plastic tank are crushed opening up the seams of the welded plastic tank.

Of course the plugged vent doesn't matter after that since the fuel spills out from the fractures of the seams of the tank. No direct replacement tank available only one 1/2 the volume of the original. It takes a total disassemble to replace.

Woodboss 028av. I removes the air filter. on the left side there is a tiny plastic tube with a tiny spring inside it. what is this for

I think you are looking at the fuel tank breather pipe. The AV just means; anti vibration. My Stihl parts list shows it as 1117 350 5800 Tank vent.(Plastic Tube) And 1120 358 8105 Vent Insert. Its basically a small plastic tube with a restrictor in it that vents the tank. Only repair it if there is gas leaking. A local shop would help or go online.

Model 345 won't start. New fresh gas/oil mix. Cleaned carb with liberal applications of gumout. Removed diaphragm and inspected carb, cleaned what passages I could identify. Cleaned fuel line. The fuel...

There is a vent in the tank, it is situated on the right hand side of the tank, close to where the fuel hose exits the tank, the early vent looks like a round white pellet, the later vent is a white plug with a nipple on the top, the later vent will just pull out with long nose pliers, the early vent has to be extracted useing a self tapping screw, this of course will destroy the vent.

Gas shuts off every few seconds when filling gas tank

there is a vent tube that runs along side the fuel tank fill pipe, this tube allows air to went out as fuel is put in,if it kinks (it is very soft thin plastic tube) then u end up with your problem, replace the vent tube, the fill pipe and vent tube come as one part.

42 inch Craftsman carburator not getting any gas. You can spray quick start and will will fire. Does gas from tank gravity feed to filter?

gas tank gravity feeds fuel to the carb. if you pull the fuel line from the carb, fuel should flow out of the tube. if it does not, then either the vent hole on the gas cap is plugged or there are contaminents at the bottom of the gas tank preventing fuel from flowing into the fuel line.
