1999 ford explorer limited whining noise in front end

Whining noise is probably in one of the pulleys or belts. Probably the power steering. And the popping is probably CV axles.

A loud clunking noise when turning the steering wheel and now the steering wheel just goes around and around

Either your steering gear failed or the connection joint between the steering wheel and steering rack input has broken. Since you have turned the wheel around in such a way, the clock spring for the air bag will also need to be replaced or you can have accidental airbag deployment or it can fail to deploy in a wreck.

Have a 1887 pontica grand am cant get the ingition swicth out what can i do

Take the shifter and push it up past park. That usually works, Or give the shifter a little wiggle. There is a locking system in there that can cause the key not to fully go to the off position.
If it does go completely to the off position, then the pins in the ignition switch could be stuck and a lite tapping with a ballpeen hammer around the switch can loosen them up.

Turn single only workes when i turn the hazerlight on then shut it off

I had the exact same problem w/ my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Fairly simple fix. It is the flasher relay, OEM Mopar Part #4686094, pay around $45 for the part at the dealer.
Take kick plate trim off (3 screws and clips holding it on) remove fuse cover (pops off) remove plastic shroud in front of steering wheel below the instrument gauges(pops off) remove large plastic shroud under steering wheel, (2-10mm bolts, clips and one phillips screw holding in place). Relay will be above fuse box, very tight fit but with a little nudging and nimble fingers pop out the old relay and replace with new one. Re-install all equipment in reverse order. Solved my turn signal problem immediately. Good luck

Key will not turn in ignition

I would try and nudge the steering wheel around a little first. Sometimes the steering wheel can be in a bind and prevent the ignition lock from turning. Try and turn it to the left/right and/or push down/pull up on the wheel.

Thank you for your question, please let me know what happens.

The volume in my Lincoln LSE (2002) goes off when I turn the steering wheel. Also my steering wheel radio controls are not working? can you help

After countless hours of research and nothing, I just decided to start playing around wtih the steering wheel. While in park I turned it all the way to the left and then to the right and low and behold the volume as well as the media steering wheel controls started working. I am sure its a loose wire but since money is tight this is a short fix for now.

Good luck to anyone else who may have the same problem.

Loose steering coluimn on 88 camaro

your steering column has a plate with 4 inverted torx fasteners I believe they are e8 fasteners, you must remove the upper tilt flange to gain access to these bolts , a few special tools will be needed : Pivot pin puller , steering wheel puller , lockplate depresser to name 3. the job takes about 1.5 hours to complete. hope this helps a little.
