It may be driver or disk problem. please run drive diagnostics [when starting up ESC and F3] if ti's driver, the safest thing to do would be remove drive from pc and connect it to other machine [with it's own hd] and reinstall graphics driver. it may be also system corruption, so try repairing system from install cd first
