You'll need to call Whirlpool for an official answer. Mine was manufactured in the first half of 2002.

Kenmore dryer series 110.60722990. The dryer will start then after a few seconds, it dies. Have not done anything as of now.

Hi,

It sounds like your motor may be starting to go out. Motors are pretty expensive, so if you dryer is over 10 years old, it may be better to invest the repair money into a new dryer.

Here is a good like about troubleshooting your dryer: Kenmore is made by whirlpool

Push to start switch seems like it lost its spring effect- could that be the problem for a no start- model len2000kq1

The push-to-start switch rarely causes the dryer not to start. It doesn't necessarily mean that the PTS is out if the dryer doesn't start. What usually causes this problem is the thermal fuse blown. The thermal fuse, located on the blower housing along with the cycling thermostat, is wired in series with the dryer motor. Power to the motor is then terminated and it cannot run when the thermal fuse blows either due to a restricted duct or malfunctioning thermostat. Make sure the vents and ducts are clear. Click on the link below for the detailed troubleshooting and repair. The thermal fuse and cycling thermostat are part numbers 3392519 and 3387134, respectively.

My Whirlpool LEN2000KQ1 electric dryer won't start. The door switch seems to be fine. I had just run a load and reloaded it and it wouldn't start.

It is only fine if you check the the continuity from the wire contacts. It required to access the back panel. Most likely it is the problem with the relay to enable the turning circuit.

Kenmore Series 80 Heavy Duty Gas Dryer turns on but drum won't move - is this likely a belt problem? Dryer is about 12-13 years old. Model 75651

Good day,
Reach in, and see if you can move the drum. It will be a little stiff, but should turn.
If so, yes, it is probably a belt.

Look below. (Yes it is made by Whirlpool).

Wondering what year out dryer is from. The model is 76992100. The model series is 69921-79921 The serial no. is F83005027 The dryer is old, but how old? Thanks, Mary Lou Devaney, 174 Cambon Ave., St....

The model number you provided has a prefix of "110" accompanying the number. That indicates the manufacturer of this Kenmore dryer is Whirlpool. The manufacture date is determined by the SERIAL NUMBER. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r2880489-determining_age_whirlpool_appliance

The first two numbers in the serial number identify the WEEK it was manufactured. The second digit identifies, the YEAR. According to the information I provided, that would mean your dryer was manufactured in July of 1988. So your dryer is 21 years young.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: These were well built appliances. The same design is used in Whirlpool appliances to this day.
