I have added one expansion board to the mother board to enable more telephone extensions. (The manual is vague about this procedure) When I plug the ribbon cable into the mother board, the enhtire system seems to go down. I'm wondering if I have to have 2 more CO lines plugged into this expansion board to take advantabe of this expansion board features. DRK

Yep, the manual is extremely thin when it talks about adding the expansion cards. Check that connection. You either have bent/broken pins, the cable plugged in wrong, or a bad expansion board.

The board plugs into the top port on the cabinet, but you might also try plugging it inot the bottom and see if it kills the system. If it does, I'd be leaning toward a bad board.

How do I connect the Norstar M7324 telephone to an expansion set?

Your expansion box is a CAP (central answer position) module. I will assume you are using the same jack as before. The line cord, from phone to jack should be 6 conductor (count pins on end). A short line cord runs from back of phone to back of CAP (plugs on CAP are labelled) then the longer cord runs from CAP to the wall jack.

Hi, I've just added and expansion card in my panasonic tes 824. but the problem is although the additional extensions are working. no additional CO lines are being detected. when i go to the CO line...

No. At the very minimum, you need to go to program 400 (3.3 in the U.S. Maintenance Console) and turn on the lines. Access may have to be enabled from each extension for both outward and ringing programming might have to be added.

Show telephone's own ext. number

To find out what the extension is in the board room,on the board room phone press feature *0 then press one of the intercom keys. You could also call another extension from the board room phone and see what extension number is on the display of the phone being called.
