Your DNS information may be incorrect use a ipconfig /All to check your DNS setting from any workstation on your current network. If you ping the name of the server it should reply with the IP address

I am new to the bizhub C250 and when scanning a document it puts the scan doc to a file that we have created on our server called "Scanned Documents" However it always saves the scan doc with its own file...

When you press the scan button and get the screen where you are selecting the location to send to there is a tab at the lower right corner called "scan settings". You touch that, then on the next screen there is a small tab at the bottom center called "file name". Touch that and you can change the file name from the default KMBS...... to whatever you want.
Thank You for using Fixya! and please provide positive feedback if I was helpful.

I have a Lanier LD335c here at work. I need to store a file on the Document Server. The doc I need to store is a 2-sided paper, and I need it to automatically print as a 2-sided paper when it is selected....

Make all your settings on the copier side as if you were going to copy it. Set the duplex for 2 to 2 as I am assuming your original is 2 sided and any other settings you need. Then select the document server button, set your document name (if you want to change it from the copier default) then press the print button to scan it in. Pretty simple but if I understand your question correctly this should do it. The trick is you need to select the duplex/color/ etc settings before you go to the document server screen.

Scan problem

Have you been able to do this before? If so I would make sure your ether net cable is good or change the cable with a new one. Also, has any up dates been done to you network? If so, have your "IT" person put it back to how it set up before. Lastly, do you have the software loaded on your computers?

Error Log Cannot store data of this size. Document Server

The document server portion of the copier not only has limitations to it but it has compatiblity problems with it as well when dealing with mulitiple pages. The SODIMM card could be set for 64mb on your copier and the buffer is too small to work with it. It doesn't work the same way as a fiery server does on todays copiers.

Ricoh tech support has told me there are three ways to use the scanner:

1) Scan to e-mail.
2) Scan to ftp server.
3) Scan to document server using a seperate PC as the server.
4) Scan to a local computer using Desktop Binder.

www.ricoh-usa.com has software to do 3 and 4. #1 can be setup by adding the smtp server to your copier in the file interface section by pressing the user tools/counter. You have to have the IP address to the smtp server in order to get it to work. You can contact your internet provider to get that.

Using the document on the copier is for temporary storage and isn't designed to handle big jobs to it as well. You can experience storage problems as well if your print server is full or you are storing faxes to the memory.

The memory can be updated to the copier as well. It can read a SO DIMM PC100 card up to 256 MB. It's an older memory module that they use on older notebook computers. You can get them at computer stores or get them through PNY.com.

Document Server issues

The 2022 has a very limited area for storing document in the copier. It has several bugs in it as well if you put them into PDF multi page mode. The best way to store them is to use an ftp server or scan to email. SMP server will work as well.

That way the Documents can be kept off the copier and stored into an area that is easier to organize the data with.

Document server wasn't designed to be a document server for long storage use.

Ricoh Aficio 1075 - SMTP error message

To use the scan to email function on your copier you need some settings from your internet provider (email setting specifically). Go into Outlook options and get your SMTP server, user name and password.

On your copier you need to change under User tools, system setting and file transfer and put these settings in. As long as your machine is set up for scan to folder thats all you should need.
