Question about Casio Parts Cash Register PC Desktop
I still cannot get the barcode scanner to work with the TE2200.
The barcode scanner is a Cipherlab model 1000, RS232. The scanner seems to be working perfectly by itself. I can program it easily, and test it with Hyperterminal no problem.
I've programmed all the keys OBR,NLU,Price Inq,Price Change, etc.
I've selected the EAN13 barcode
I've setup the 13 digit PLU correctly in the Casio, as I can type the number in manually and the Casio displays the correct information, price, etc.
I can connect the PC with the TE2200 and transfer files both ways on COM1 of the TE2200.
The barcode scanner is plugged into COM2 on the TE2200.
I have the baud rate on the scanner set at 9600, with 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, odd parity.
I've entered the PLU's correctly into the TE2200, and can recall them manually by entering them on the keyboard and pressing the OBR key.
What data should be sent to the TE2200? i.e. the barcode number is 9789745002500. Should the barcode scanner be programmed to send:
Which one is correct?
I've tried 24 combinations of address code 0298 for 12000, 02000, 12020, 02020, etc. with different scanner flow control configurations.
Nothing has worked so far. I've made sure to clear flags after every operation of connecting the scanner, changing 0298, etc.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated. The more variables I can eliminate the better.
Thanks very much in advance.

I have set up the casio 7000 to use a metrologic orbit scanner. The scanner program is most important. I don't know what Cipher uses, but I think that is where your problem is. I will do some more research and get back to you.
The 9789745002500 is correct you will use a 13 digit number
