How can I focus it other than using the focus knob

The focus knob is the way you focus overhead projectors. Perhaps you simply haven't turned the knob far enough? How far is the projector from the screen? If it's quite close, you need to turn the knob to raise the lens. If far away, turn it to lower the lens.

The lamp cover light is blinking then projectoe gose off

hi,
There is two possibilty for this problem one is the lamp cover is not properly placed and the second one is the lamp has reached end of its usful life span.
First of all check the lap cover is propely placed or not. if its ok then try to reset the lamp hour.
For that press the menu button and select setup and then select Lamp setting and reset the lamp. It is reccomented that the lamp reset should only be don after replacing the lamp.
OK

Once the projector is plugged in there is no picture. The projector comes on but the lens doesnt open

Try doing a manual reset by depressing the two Keystone buttons and turn power on. Hold down the two keystone buttons for 15 seconds, then release and turn projector OFF.
Turn ON projector and it will be reset.

Light won't come on, replaced old light bulb.

First, check to see if the lamp lights at all (spill light coming out of the projector near the fan). If it does, then the problem could be just the "dark shutter" not opening. If the lamp does not light, it could be a couple of things: it could be the lamp thermal fuse has opened or it could be a bad lamp socket.
Sounds like you need to seek out a factory-trained repair dealer for this one, to narrow down the possibilities!

My projector Benq pb6200 needs cleaning from the inside how???

I have an Optoma EzPro 737 DLP projector that accumulated dust inside the lens and for ages I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. It cast shadows onto the picture and scattered light outside the edges of the picture. I thought I'd have to dismantle the whole lens assembly (then realised that this is virtually impossible without being an expert). I then stumbled upon a little black rubbery plastic panel on the side of the light path, which unclips. I then realised that the dust had built up on the lens that sits in front of the DMD chip (the thing that makes the picture).

Here's what I did, with the case open and having vaccuumed out all the dusty parts of the projector to avoid making the situation worse:
- Took off the little rubbery panel,
- Removed the lamp from the projector and placed a flashlight inside, shining into the light path (or a mirror directing light from a table lamp above)
- Looking directly into the lens from close up, you should be able to see the particles of dust stuck to the inner lens (with a nice magnified view)
- First tried blowing air into the gap on the side of the light path (I used a balloon pump).
- Next, I poked a piece of thick nylon fishing line into the hole so that it could touch the surface of the inner lens.
- While looking into the lens, I could see the tip of the nylon, then directed it to the largest dust particles and used it to scrape them off (nylon is much softer than glass, so won't scratch the lens).
- This was quite time consuming but I got rid of the most obvious bits.

I'm not sure how different this would be for another model of projector - but I hope it helps!

The projector is easy to open. whole side comes off including half silver bit at top you need to search for little rubber dots about 4mm in diameter, pick them out with a knive then undo the screws you will also need to remove one of the hex screws that the vga cable screws into. will not hurt to remove both, just use some pliers to loose them. Also remove the bulb door.

2 ISSUES: 1) Pencil tip size dot in the middle of the projection. 2) weird smell coming from projector vent.

might be a speck of dirt on your lens, possibly on the inside. I assume youe have wiped the outside of the lens? ;-) (I have to ask) If the dot seems to be following pixels exactly your projector might be broken. The smell might be from some dirt or possible an insect in the projector. Try using compressed air to blow out any dirt and dust. It might just be dirt acumulated over time that is burning to create the smell. t t might be a long shot, but if the bulb is easily removed, yo ou might try to shine a flashlight through the lens to see if there is dirt on the lens inside. If you adjust the image size mechanically, or use lens shift, does the speck move on the picture? If so, it's probably on the lens.
