I tried to follow your instructions, but when I went to Microsoft and tried to download IE8, I got the same error message and the program froze. I can't click on any links inside a webpage, or email without freezing. I thought I might try Mozilla Firefox, but I can't get the download because IE freezes.

My internet keep crashing

If your Internet Explorer keeps randomly crashing (closing by itself), there may be an add-on or temporary page disrupting the connection. Every time you browse the web, Internet Explorer keeps track of the websites you visit. It keeps these pages, along with cookie trackers, in the "Temporary Browsing History" folder. Some websites cause Internet Explorer to crash.

Open the Internet Explorer browser. Go to "Tools > Delete Browsing History." Hit "Delete All." Check off the box that says "Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons." Hit "OK." Close and reopen the browser. b> Disable Add-Ons b> Go to "Start > Search." Type "Internet Explorer" and hit "Enter." The computer will search for any files with this label. Double-click on the file that says "Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)." This will allow you to browse in IE without any additional plug-ins or add-ons that might be causing the browser to crash. b> Reset Internet Explorer b> Open the IE browser. Go to "Tools > Internet Options." Hit "Advanced." Click on "Reset" and then hit "Enter." Close and reopen the browser. Hope this helps.

I can't get on the internet explorer everytime i click on the internet explorer icon, i get an error message stating internet explorer has encountered a problem and need to close what do I do

just use Google Chrome or Firefox. They are far better than IE anyway.

My ie page keeps closing down saying that it encountered a problem... this probably due to malware? can this be fixed from your end as i don't know what to do

Click Start
Click All Programs
Click Accessories
Click System Tools
Click Start Internet Explorer (no add-ons)

It could be one of the add-on components that is causing the crash within IE.

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Add/Remove Programs
Select and remove any IE-related add-on components.
Start IE, and it should work.

Each time I try to get onto the internet, I get the message ''Internet Explorer has encountered a problem, and needs to close.'' Has anyone else had this happen, or is it just my computer? This started...

IE8 can sometimes act this way. _Uninstal it through the add/remove programs from the control panel.
Reinstal it only if you want to. I don't use it.

Constantly encountering an error and needs to close

I think, its some Add-on which is creating this problem in IE.

Please check the Add-ons in the Tools "Manage Add-Ons" Menu and try Enable / Disable for the Add-on which you think is not required for your IE.

Internet explorer

when it displays a message that "ie has encountered a problem and needs to close", click on link in that message which says click here to get more information and look for modname. then search which application that modname is related to. it could be some add-on on ie. disable all add-ons and toolbars.

Internet Explorer problem notice

run an antivirus and antispyware program. Then if nothing shows up from that, install the newest IE version. Keep in mind IE really sucks in general and I suggest using Opera or Firefox
