I assume you have 512MB which it came with and adequate disk on the 200 GB disk so you could install XP.
You need to buy XP which is going to be hard today as MS has withdrawn it. Don't fall for the pirated versions unless your are really skilled with handling the problems it will bring.

You can buy a new computer for $359 in the Sunday ads this week. Why upgrade a tired old computer??

You don't need any "referral" key -- just install MS Office, and enter the 25-character key when prompted.

this error happens if MS thinks XP is pirated.
The w7 disk words on top tell the real story,
upgrade, but is it a real MS, retail disk.
all the words on the disk tell me what it really is. post a photo?
if the PC is still original. (say HP XP unchanged)
the OS you run is from HP not MS.
that is why MS told you to call HP.
The HP software disk are custom to your PC.

The COA sticker on the bottom (license to use HP windows)

best is to reload the OS.

if the PC was not slammed by others.
means someone put wrong OS on it. or pirated.

then the F11 key works.
Restore F11, XP and then upgrade to W7.

HP Hard disk partition of same name.

if that is missing F11 feature.
then you have 2 choices
1: get the HP install media from HP. call them.
2; or buy a retail MS windows 7 disk. $120

better is to buy a used PC with w7 on it
so you get HP support and MS support.

It is not possible to open a MS office application and a Zip file in SE K550i. But I think there are some java applications for opening MS Office filez and zip filez; I'vent tried them though they will not be pretty much useable in K550i. For better application support in ur mobile upgrade ur mobile phone to some high-end gadgets like windows mobile.

This is a VERY general question. There are many many software upgrades for the ipaq rx3715.

If you mean upgrading the OS, then nothing short of Linux is available.

Otherwise, please ask a more specific question.
