Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

2 Answers

Want to delete everything

My daughter and I went to Best Buy for help but we could have saved the trouble driving there :-( Anyway, she only has a 172 songs on the MP3 player and it says that it is full; however, when we connect the MP3 player we can not delete songs. She wants to erase everything and start all over but is not able to. All is working, the wheel, on and off button but we just can not delete. Then it gets crazier....we use Windows Medial Player and finally delete things and then we want to drop things back into MP3 player and we are not able to. Windows M. P. shows that we did what we wanted to do but when we disconnect MP3 player and turn it on...ALL the songs are still there..............Please please please help. Is there not a reset button? How can we reset? We already tried the other suggestions that we read on the to let the battery run dry....but it will not work :-(

This happened to me....and now ill try to share it and hope this should work

maam hello, i am jotham s. teves....i own a retired model of sansa mp3 player e250r...

ya i tried everything u just did....that's very tiring..

but somewhere in ur report i saw that u want to start all over again right.. then i guess its time for u to format ur player...

NOTE: u should have back up files for all ur songs videos etc.. so after formatting u can put it back..

so connect ur player ..

go to My Computer and click on the slot where ur sansa player is connected..

right click on it..and look for the option "format"

then a pop shows and u follow the instructions...

its very easy and you will be able to get rid of all the unwanted default songs included in the player installed by the manufacturer..

i hope it goes the same with u...

With this particular model, you can do a HARD RESET on it, i.e.: back to factory settings.

Just press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

Hope that helps!

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Everything got delited off my grandsons dsi is there anyway to retrive all his pictures and flip note studio back

Hi, there could be a possible way for the flipnote studio, but as for the photos and other data, they are most likely gone.
The flipnote studio has a way to save online. If your grandson saved them online, their always on there and they don't get deleted.

Hope I was a help!

I have a ps3 and i believe my account was hacked i have no money to pay for help and it said this is a free site to help with problems

There are 2 things I can think of to help you out here. 1) Create a new account while keeping your other one. Once you're all set up again, copy all the data from your old account into your new one and when your finished, delete the old account. 2) You can get a portable thumb drive or hard drive, copy all of your game save data to the drive, create a new account, load the save data into your new account, and delete the old account.

If you believe that someone has your online informaton you are going to have to (sorry) delete everything and start from scratch.

Key thing is to save all of your game data.

Best of luck!

I am giving away my daughter's old computer and want to format the hard drive so everything is gone. I have tried to do so, but keep getting an error message that the volume is in use by another program,...

You cannot format the hard drive while it's in use by the operating system itself.
The best way to reformat the drive is with the XP install CD to fully reinstall the operating system. That will wipe all the settings, programs pictures, documents etc.

If you don't have an XP CD you will need to manually go through the computer and delete everything that you don't want the next owner to see.

Alternatively, you can take out the hard drive and then pass it on and leave it for the next owners to get a hard drive and install an operating system.

Having trouble hard drive in ps3slim can fix your YLoD for 86 dollars and you can buy up to a 4 year warranty that covers everything on the PS3.

I suggest returning the slim and sending in the 60GB

Cd drive wont read discs

Yes there is .... Do these in any order:
The CD laser lens needs cleaning. Maybe a blast of air from a comprerssed air can ($7 Office Depot, Max, Best Buy) will clean it.

Do you have access to a USB CD or DVD drive?
That may be your best bet to boot from it....

See if you are able to get the "Safe Mode" menu using the [F8] key on boot-up. From the menu, select "start computer in last known good configuration". That may fix everything.

Internet Not Responding

Sounds like your best bet is to go back to Windows update and let them run all the way through before starting any further actions. Your daughters computer was fine because it did not require the same updates.

Lost memory.

If you did a complete system recovery then you may be out of luck. You can find programs online that can scan your hard drive for deleted files and restore them, but they are not usually able to find everything. So at best you can probably save some of your information.

Programs like "undelete" and "Recover my files" are capable of doing this.

My maxtor external hard drive has done a scheguled Plan b backup but files that I removed from my master hard drive to free up space because I had them saved on my external hard drive are now missing from...

When a file is delete, it's still there on the drive, just as before; all that happens is that the file table marks it as free space and changes its name so it's no longer visible. There are a number of "undelete" utilities available, including several good ones, like asoftech data recovery that helped me before:

Uninstall xp

You can remove service pack 2 from within add/remove programmes, you will not lose any documents, but you will lose the udated security patches which is not recommended. If you mean you wish to remove XP SP completely, obviously the files and everything you have installed on c drive will be deleted as you can only save docs etc within an operating system, as c: is just a partition on your hard drive the files reside within the operating system. If you are upgrading to another operating system my advice would be to use a dual boot system and install the other operating system on a seperate partition of your drive, but you would have to have a fair knowledge of pc operating system installation processes.
