Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
My daughter and I went to Best Buy for help but we could have saved the trouble driving there :-( Anyway, she only has a 172 songs on the MP3 player and it says that it is full; however, when we connect the MP3 player we can not delete songs. She wants to erase everything and start all over but is not able to. All is working, the wheel, on and off button but we just can not delete. Then it gets crazier....we use Windows Medial Player and finally delete things and then we want to drop things back into MP3 player and we are not able to. Windows M. P. shows that we did what we wanted to do but when we disconnect MP3 player and turn it on...ALL the songs are still there..............Please please please help. Is there not a reset button? How can we reset? We already tried the other suggestions that we read on the blog....like to let the battery run dry....but it will not work :-(

ya i tried everything u just did....that's very tiring..
but somewhere in ur report i saw that u want to start all over again right.. then i guess its time for u to format ur player...
NOTE: u should have back up files for all ur songs videos etc.. so after formatting u can put it back..
so connect ur player ..
go to My Computer and click on the slot where ur sansa player is connected..
right click on it..and look for the option "format"
then a pop shows and u follow the instructions...
its very easy and you will be able to get rid of all the unwanted default songs included in the player installed by the manufacturer..
i hope it goes the same with u...

With this particular model, you can do a HARD RESET on it, i.e.: back to factory settings.
Just press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
