Sound okay,No picture. Light squiggly line runs from top to bottom in center. Prior to failure I had to adjust convergence multiple times to bring words back into focus.

- Found c509 and removed (wes4743, 250v), no obvious damage but I will get new part. I noticed some discoloration to the pcb under R1510, R1511, R1514, R1518, & R1542 is that normal? They look as though they are expected to get hot, they are installed about 3/8" off the pcb, ceramic maybe 1/8th watt.Sep 26, 2009
- Can I clean the projection lenses with windex, or could you suggest a product that would be safe for use? ThanksSep 27, 2009
- Its been a while since I've looked at caps is a 4743 the same as a 474K? I have a 474K 2A but no voltage raiting it is slightly larger in size than the one I removed.Sep 28, 2009
- having a hard time finding a store that sells components in this area, might take a day or two but I will find one.Sep 28, 2009
- I need to clarify the cap value. Marked on the cap is 4743, I thought the second 4 would be the multiplier
4 = 10,000 pF (10 nF or 0.01 uF), which I think would make the cap a .47 uF. I just want to double check before I purchase and install. I am not familiar with a four digit value code. ThanksSep 29, 2009
- odered part at partstore.com, I will let you know the outcome once I've received the part and installed it. ThanksOct 02, 2009

The cap is a .047 @ 200 volts-----you can use a cap of the same value with at least a 200 volt rating or more.....

you can use windex but spray it on a paper towel and not directly on the lens. Yes those resistors do discolor the board and it is normal.

Locate C509 on the main board--it is brown and if it has a crack in its side--it is gone---sometimes it will look perfect and be bad---seen several of these sets with this trouble

is the line a unusual area towards the right side of the screen?
