Steering not recognised by the PC

The best way to tell is to do a calibration test and if it is not recognizing your wheel than you may want to send it in to logitech. The g25 is a gear driven wheel and maybe something went wrong with them on the inside.

check the plugins

to chk the sensor on the calibration unplug the wheel from the usb port and plug back in if the wheel turns left then right and centers the sensor is fine. go to the control panel>game controller>properties and test the wheel if everything is working there it is a problem with the game. look for a profiler or calibration utility in the game itself to bring back to center.

you need to get a new steering column in there asap. i had one do that to me and it ended up breaking on me

These wheels I have no experience with, but my gues is if it uses batteries or plugs in, the batteries are dead or the plug is losing connection.

I had the same problem with my steering wheel and my gamepad. I fixed the problem by installing the new patch available here: http://needforspeed.com/portal/site/nfs/news/details/?contentId=196a93dca5c5f110VgnVCM100000100d2c0aRCRD Just download the patch, double click the file, let it install, and start up the game. I reinstalled the software, unplugged all the connections, unplugged the power, reconnected everything, rebooted the system and everything works like a charm again. Didn't take more than about 5 minutes.

Hi Guys, I have found your solution. If all the buttons work, but the steering does not, it's because the buttons are powered by the USB bus. The electric engine of the wheel need really juice from the power supply. I have just bought a G25 and all the buttons worked fine, but turning the wheel was completely undetected. The power supply was cold as a supermodel heart. I have just put a new power supply and now all the things work perfectly. By the way, my thanks to all the other guys that posted the G25 issues, it really helped me out.
