WMA 54 Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine lights flashing

the problem here is the machine is not emptying when its supposed to, you will find it is stopping at the rinse cycles. there is a sump underneath the machine that needs to be emptied. From my experiences, 9 out of 10 hotpoints that i would of repaired with the same problem as you are having is usualy caused by using the color catcher sheets, they are a disaster.

Hotpoint Aquarius WMA46 front loader

I 've had this problem a few times with these machines.

Some solutions that have worked for me are.

1 change the motor.
2 change the wiring loom
3 change the board.

The most common one is the motor even when the it has decent brushes the motor just will not pick up speed on the spin cycle.

hope this helps.

Bad Smell

this is caused by a build up of old detergent and limescale.there are some industrial strength descalers around.wpro descaler is one.add the sachet to the drum with no wash load.pour in a kettle of hot water(not boiling)and leave for thirty minutes.then put washing machine on a 60 degree cycle and allow to run right will need to repeat approximately every three months

Check to see if any water remains in the machine . SOME MACHINES IF They DO NOT DRAIN OUT ALL THE WATER WILL CONTINUE TO run until all water is drained. Also check for suds in machine if machine senses suds it will try to re rinse the clothes. If your machine has a filter at the bottom clean it out .

check the cold water supply, either from the mains pipe, there is no water getting into the machine, if water is there up to the machine check the solenoid for circuit, to do this unplug from electric, remove lid, and test the two wires on relevant solenoid, no circuit means faulty solenoid, (test with the 2 wires removed from solenoid) take care note position of wires to put back properly answer above based on info given
