Forgot user id and password and everex closed.

I have an Everex StepNote NC Series Notebooks: NC1200, NC1500, NC 1800, NC2000 computer.I forgot my user id and password and Everex is now closed - as of July 09. Everex left no info and/or a phone number to call for assistance. Not good. Nor professional. Where should I go from here? Comments. Suggestions. Help. Thanks.

I presume you have tried all the tricks to regain your logon and password and I presume we are talking about logging onto your computer.

Do you have original software and are you able to reinstall it? Are you willing to give up what may reside on your computer?

If you can answer yes to all .. I would suggest you remove the battery, find and remove the BIOS battery. Wait while the life drains from your computer. You are in for a lot of work ... Id make sure it is back to zero, dead, no life, no residue. Start by plugging in the BIOS battery and then the system battery. Turn it on, and see what happens. Hopefully it will say no system disk found.

Place your restore disk (floppy or CD) and reboot. Follow the prompts.
