    1. Get a flash drive...and a second computer 2. Download the home version from Avast.com (virus protection) 3. Insert the flash drive into you old computer..and then scan it on the second system after you install the Avast anti-virus program on the second system. 4. Email me back or post here, (my email is: [email protected]) if you determine if you have a trojan or a simple worm..you might try installing the Avast program on your original system..by copying it to the Flash drive..along with the updates from your second system..and then seeing if your original system will install it. I would recommend downloading Bart PE and than burning an ISO to a CD. Once you run Bart PE get under Command Prompt and enter chkdsk c: /f /r. This can also be done from an XP disk under the Administration console.

My computer won't let me go to how to videos. It says site is infected with a virus. My computer is'nt infected it says the site is infected.

Think yourself lucky that it has spotted the virus. If you had gone there you could have been in serious trouble. Best to look around the web and put the words of the name of the site - plus the word virus. See what it comes up with.

If you have never been to the site before it might have shut down and be attacked by people loading it with virus. Otherwise wait a few days to see if the site owners clean it up.

My acer 5750 i7 keeps shutting down

The infected laptops encounter random shutdown problem until some maintenance activity is being performed on the system.

Two important things that you should do to fix a laptop which keeps shutting down are:

1- Scanning computer to eliminate malwares, spywares and the viruses from your laptop.

2- Repairing and cleaning Windows registry.

The registry errors, however, are the internal errors and can become a cause of system crashes and freezes.
For an instant fix use system utility tool Reginout.

Follow these steps to fix a Blue Screen in Safe Mode

Once booting start, select "Safe Mode" from the boot menu.

Scan your hard drive by running your antivirus software . If the program locates an infection, move it to your vault or follow the on-screen instructions. After program completion, if a virus was removed, attempt to reboot your computer and see if this clears up the problem. If not, restart your computer in safe mode.

Restore your computer to a previous point. Click on the "Start" button. Select "All Programs", "Accessories", "System Tools" and finally "System Restore". Choose a restore point on or before the last day your computer worked without error. Finally Reboot your computer to see if it loads correctly.

HP had blue screen and said it would shut down. Problem is that it does turn off, so that it can be re-booted. Have tried to shut off PC, but continues to come on and not start.

Hold the power button in for 10 to 15 seconds for hard shut down if that doesn't work unplug power for about 5 minutes then plug power back in and see what happens

Most probably the intergrated Graphic on the mainboard of your Laptop is faulty. Too bad, you have to replace it from ACER or any authorised Vendors.
If the cost is too expensive to repair, get a new Laptop/notebook.

Computer is infected with viruses

Blue screens as a result of infection mean the virus has corrupted the operating system. You can fix it by doing an operating system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. Depending on the virus, this may only be a temporary fix. If this turns out to be a temporary fix, then the sure way to fix it is to completely wipe the hard drive, completely reformat using NTFS, and reload the operating system, which I would recommend. If you have any problems during or after the reload, then the virus damaged the hard drive and it will need to be replaced.
