I have the disc for the american greetings creatacard special edition but it wont down load on my computer what can i do

First, make sure you have a version American Greeting compatible with your operating system. You have Vista Ultimate Edition, but if the software is from, say, Windows 95 it's not going to work.
Second, if your American Greeting is on a CD you usually need only put it in an wait for the setup to start. If it doesn't go to My Computer and double-click on the CDROM (or DVD or whatever) optical drive. That should launch the setup.
Third, if it still doesn't start, look for "setup" in the list of files on the CD and double-click on that.
If none of these start the CD then take the disk to another machine and see if it starts there. If not, you have found the problem. If it does, then it is possible that the CD drive in your system doesn't work properly.
This all assumes that when you say it "wont down load on my computer" you mean it won't run the setup. If it does start but won't load after starting, you will need to provide further information: like does is issue an error message? Does is just sit there for hours on end with the circle spinning? The more you tell us the better we are at figuring out what's wrong.

Trying to load American Greetings CreataCard Platinum 7 on my computer with Vista windows and when it gets to true type fonts it stops and won't load. Can you tell me what is happening?

This software will need to be ran in compatibility mode as it was designed for Windows XP and will not work properly on Vista without running it in compatibility mode. Follow Microsoft's instructions here:

I have software for 32 bit computer and would like to install program on new 64 bit computer. When trying to install American Greetings Card program, it states compatibility problem. What can I do to...

If a program cannot be run under Windows 7 64 bit because of compatibility issues you have to right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. You can find more about this Compatibility issue on Microsoft website.

Creatacard gold 3 does not work with windows 7

This is a Windows 98 program. Try installing it using the compatibility feature of WIN7. Right click on the startup program on the CD, select install as administrator, right click again and select properties, install as W98 compatible.
This might work but some of these older programs just won't work with Vista or Win7. I didn't find any updated Creatacard software. It looks like it is no longer made.
Also you didn't say if you're running 32bit or 64bit Win7. Be aware that 64bit does not support 16bit programs. Given the age of Creatacard, it is probably 16bit code. No way will it run on a 64bit OS. My above suggestion will only work with 32bit Win7.

I just bought a new computer that has Windows 7. I try to download my Creatacard Gold3 and am told it is not compatable with a 64 bit driver. Do I throw it out or is there another way to install it?

Two options. Try Googling. Maybe the Creatacard software provider has a 64 bit version of the program available as an upgrade. Many Vista 64 bit programs work OK with Win7.
If this doesn't work and you REALLY need to use THIS program, you can install a 32 bit version of another operating system as a dual-boot. Either XP or Win7 would work. Or run a 32 bit operating system on a virtual machine and run the program on the virtual. That's rather high tech just to run a card maker. So if they don't have a 64 bit version of the program, look for another supplier who does.
64 bit provides faster operations, but it does render a lot of older programs unworkable.

Problems with Software

try uninstalling the software, and i understand most of the time you cannot uninstall due to corrupted files, most of the software companies are making the utilities called removal/uninstall utility.
ask your software company to provide you one. and some times they have links on their website to download.

hope this helps you.
