I have just had my PC rebuilt and I am unable to hear any sounds from my speakers. I have pHilips speaker attached but I cannot find any s/w that came when I bought the PC. Can you point me in the right direction as to where I am going to find any drives that I may need - I cannot remember if I had to install any when I originally set up the PC
Then check ur hardware profile for any DRIVER issues for ur sound device.. if it is thr, then try to RE-INSTALL the driver from the DRIVER RESOURCE from ur MOTHER BOARD, DRIVER CD>. or check the driver details in NET...

Windows: The driver is probably mismatched to the sound card / chipset hardware in your computer (or the hardware is failing). Enter the device manager inside control panel and click on the Sound icon. Select "remove hardware" and check the "remove software / driver" option. Click OK. Restart the computer and let Windows discover the "new" sound hardware. You should let it download the driver from the internet and you should hear sound at the speakers either right away or after the next boot.
If you are unable to get sound from speakers, chances are it's your computer and not the speakers. Speakers do not require a driver to work, the computer has to have the audio driver to make speakers work. To test this theory, simply turn speakers on and plug them into an mp3 player or cell phone (anything with 3.5 mm jack) and turn volume up - should have sound. What you will need to do is find model computer and look for audio driver for that computer.
I recommend going to the sound icon on bottom of main screen, right click, go to the properties and settings. Make sure the system is set for the same amount of speakers as you have. You can also use the test button and see if the settings are correct. Make sure you are using the correct audio decoder or ac3 filter
