I Have An IBM Thinkpad R40e But It Askes For an Password For Everything Boot Bios Boot menu , I Tried TO Take The Bio battery out for An Our But That Did Not Work ANYONE?

The Power on Password is stored on the 24RF08 EEPROM chip and there are no back door passwords available.
You can remove this password but you need some electronic skills to do this.

Can'd access bios and can't boot from HDD
To get into the BIOS as the machine is starting up Tap the F2 key. It may also be F1, Delete, or Esc so try all of them until one works.

My ibm thinkpad r40e is asking for CMOS password what to do
You will have to enter the bios and reset the date and time, but you might need a new cmos battery.

Re the cmos password, you should remove it, but will have to know what it is. This can also be done while you are in the bios.
