OK the buttons are probably dirty. I had this same problem with my DS. Pry open the outside edges of the buttons until there is a gap. Blow into the gap while making sure you dont spit in the console. This should clear out the dirt and make your buttons work.
try this: hold A and B then turn ur ds on then when the ds logo appears hold start and select while still holding A and B then when the: this product is not licensed of endorced by nintendo: comes up release all buttons.. hope this works
You can buy a new plastic housing for your DS lite on many different sites. Some are great quality. If the DS still works (despite the broken hinge) it makes sense to replace the housing.
You should be able to find enough videos on youtube to learn how to disassembe the DS and not do any harm. Make sure that you buy a tri-wing screwdriver (also called a nintendo screwdriver).
connect the usb to the pc.when you power up the ds lite with action replay in palce.press the select, start,A and B button at the same time.this will format your areplay.now update the action replay via internet and it will update all the games on your action replay.
their are 3 solutions but i cant asure that it will work
1. maybe when they play ds games like pac n roll the ds cardejects for some reason so sulution 1 is put tape ontop of the ds gamecard slot while their playin a ds game
2 maybe when they play a gba game the game pak is being hit by their chests or bellies so the card is moving a bit and the game freezes so put a big distance between the ds and the chest or belly
3. dont wiggle the ds alot and do you drop it often because if it is dropt often the ds will freeze often
If yours is the NDS Lite, just find this video in youtube: "Disassembling Nintendo DS Lite"
after opening it you can do your work replacing the top screen. Just be careful with the flexible cables, the new screen and other sensitive electronic parts on your device and you will be on your way.
