Palm is locked up

Help. My Palm is sick.
It turns on. I get a Tungsten "welcome" screen.
It goes to time and date page then freezes. Won't respond at all.
Can't even turn it off. I've done repeated resets. Same scenario every time.
Doctor, is there any hope?

I would say if you have all of your information saved to the profile in Palm Desktop to do a Hard Reset.

My Palm Tungsten E2 does not turn on.

Have you tried doing a soft reset? To do a soft reset, use the tip of the stylus to gently press the reset button inside the hole on the back panel of your handheld.

My palm e2 screen brings a frozen screen even after reset and no button whatsoever works, it can reset but freezes on the screen again, that is 0 alerts. even the power button does not work, only reset,...

You can try doing a hard reset. A hard reset will delete everything on your device. All your data will be deleted, and formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings. Don't perform a hard reset unless you've backed up your data, or you're willing to lose everything. Here is the link for directions for the Hard Reset:

The screen just flashes palm powered. will not respond to anytype of reset or battery unplug.

Hi,
I recently had some problems with my Palm. I went through the Palm online chat support which was free. You can do phone support but it will cost about $15. Here is a link to Palm support. If you scroll to the bottom of the page there is a link for the chat service. I have very good results. Best wishes. I hope this works for you.

Problem with initial set up palm

When you turn your Palm on, on the main page there should be a list of icons. Make sure in the upper right-hand corner All displays with an arrow pointing down.

Then, click on the World Clock icon to change the date/time for your Palm.

PDA intermitently powers up then freezes on "Palm Powered" screen

I had the same issue. What you need to do is to hold the power on/off button than press the reset button. The screen turns off (get black) than the will ask you to make a hard reset (which end up deleting all datas). The Palm will power on like the first time you turned it on after you bought it. Than depending which version you have it will possible ask you which language you will like to have as default. After selecting you neet to setup the rest. If this is done you sync it all data will come back :-)
