You can reset your Netgear router/wireless wpn824 router to the factory settings from within the router manager. The reset procedure removes all user-configured settings and returns the router to the original factory settings.

For this reason, only reset the router if you encounter problems that can't be solved with other methods.

Step 1: Check that your Netgear router/wireless wpn824 router is properly connected with your system or not. If it is OK, then press reset button on Netgear router for at least 10 seconds. The 'test' light should flash during this process.

Step 2: Now open browser and enter Netgear's IP address into the address bar. Generally, '192.168.0.1' is the Netgear router IP address but you can find specific IP address in Netgear wpn824 router manual.

Step 3: Now enter your default username and password to log in to router.

Step 4: Click 'Erase' button under the 'Revert to Factory Default Settings'. This process will erase all your previous changes that have been made to the router and restore the configuration settings to factory setting. Don't interrupt the process until the process is finished.

Once the router's 'test' light has stopped blinking and the configuration page you are on has refreshed, the wpn824 router has been reset.

SOURCE: netgear wireless router wireless light won't light

Once \you reset your router, the router must be set up again in orser to use it wirelessly. Connect with CAT-5 cable router to computer, go to http://192.168.1.1 log in to router with name = admin and password left blank. Go into the Wireless section, set your SSID (Network Name) and whatever security you want to use. Write it down, do not forget, you should be back on line. Contact me if this does not work jaye.ellen@gmail.com

Need to reset password for belkin54g

Hello.
If you are having trouble logging into the router's setup page and you forgot the password for the router, you need to reset it to default settings, thus if you do that, you need to setup the router again.
To reset the router to default settings, press and hold the reset button on the back panel of the router for 30 seconds. Once the lights are stable you need to setup the router again just like what you did the first time.

You have to options, use a computer that is connected to the network either with a wired connection or a wireless that is connected and go into the router using it's IP address and check the password that way, or reset the router to factory settings and set it up again

Forgot my password to allow other devices to access my network.

Just reset your router and use (admin) for user name and password. To reset your router you can see a small hole in your router which is labeled reset. Use a pin and insert it to the hole and push.

What do i do when i forgot my routor password?

There is a small hole on the back of the WPN824 right next to the rightmost ethernet connector. Press the button inside using a paper clip for 15 seconds. This will do a factory reset of the device.
However, this will wipe *all* of your settings.
The router resets its LAN IP adress to 192.168.1.1 and the administrator password to "password".

Forgot password for my netgear range expander

Reset it and reconfigure it. You need to know the configuration of your wireless router to make your range expander work again. Can you still connect to the Internet without the range expander?

Forgot my password

There will be a "reset" button somewhere on the back of the router ...no doubt a small hole you need to stick a straightened out paper clip into. Press the rest button and the router will go back to factory settings. Netgear usually use the user name "admin" and the password "1234" to log into routers for default. Any WEP/WPA settings you has set on the router will be gone too, so you need to go back in and set up your security again.

the password to your router? default is admin:password

If you've changed it, you may have to reset the router. This can be done by using a paperclip inserted into the reset hole on the back of the router, and starting over!
