Bellsouth was taken over by AT&T and AT&T "migrated" it's e-mail over to Yahoo. Since that happened I started getting that message along with many other problems and had to stop using Yahoo Messenger and that took care of the problem (that problem anyway). I am using MSN Messenger now and that error message no longer appears on my screen.

Same here! I have found I have to go and sign into the Yahoo browser site to access my Yahoo mail, it was the only way around it. I am not sure what update started it as well.

Hi Ragaikaras,

Try reinstalling Google chrome to the latest version and try Logging in with Yahoo again.
if the problem persists, try updating your PC to the latest updates and reinstall google chrome once again.

try logging with another browser ( eg. Opera Browser, Internet Explorer, Mozilla firefox ) if the other browsers do not work then try using the Yahoo Messenger and try accessing your email from there.
i hope this helps, good luck!

My own advice is
1) Shutdown computer - power off the router for one minute - restart computer

2) Have more than one browser available for trouble shooting. Keep browsers up to date to incorporate all the patches - I run Firefox, Google Chrome and IE. Keep one browser clear of add-ons and plug-ins.
Always have the browser you are using designated as default - even if you only have one

3) Download and run CCleaner daily - to keep your browsers fully operational

4) Make sure Yahoo toolbar is up to date

5) Sign in here to reset cookies
https://login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify

6) If you have a Yahoo email address:- drop the '@Yahoo.com' from your username to sign in

7) Check the date and time are correct on your computer

8) If you have your settings to sign in automatically and recently changed your password check this out

9) Make sure your firewall has Messenger on the 'allow' list.

10) Set your status in Yahoo Mail to 'Offline'
