Genie overlocker Iam having trouble getting the tread right

The thread underneath is tangling a lot and stopping the machine. Don't know how to remedy this problem. Rethreaded all, etc. and it didn't seem to help any. Also played with the tension a bit and that didn't seem to make a difference either. Help!

I have a new home janome model number 534 how do I

The Janome 534 that I know is an overlocker (or serger). If this is so, then when you open the front flap / door there should be a diagram showing the thread path. It is important though to first thread the inner (upper) looper, then secondly the outer (lower) looper, thirdly the inner (right) needle, and lastly the outer (left) needle.

My overlock is not looping, I have rethreaded 3 times, no loops

You still are not treading it right...don't let it intimidate you, if you follow the manual and make sure that the thread is locked in the the top tension discs you should be fine.

Threading an Empisal Overlocker - Model S4D

All sergers thread the same way and sergers have to be threaded in a certain order. I made a jingle out of it...
upper looper
lower looper
right needle
left

It would be best to have a tweezers handy to help with the thread and threading.

always be sure the lower looper thread goes over the top of the upper looper then out the back. I would be surprised if your thread guides are not color coded.
If you look at the top thread guides or the spools. First from left to right thread the 3rd spool, then the fourth spool. Then you thread the right needle (the second spool) then the left needle (1st spool.
The lower looper can be tricky because you have to thread it from the back of the looper to the front.
Pull the threads out the back from under the foot. Then go ahead and run it slow watching to see if it starts making a chain. It should. If not do it over again.
Good luck
