My outdoor shots are great! All my indoor shots are very grainy or have a lot of noise. When I use the I've set the ISO at 400 but I've also tried it at other settings. When I use the flash everything is blown out with shadows behind the subject. Thank you

  • Anonymous Mar 06, 2008

It was fine until a couple of days people keep on telling me the auto focus probably shut itself off but I dont know how to fix it.

  • Lorrri Mar 06, 2008

The screen on the camera is fine, however once you snap the picture it is very blurry and grainy. This happened all of a sudden. I used the camera last Saturday night with no problem, took it out today and experienced the problem. We absolutely love this camera and are quite upset that this happened.

Your digital image sensor is bad. It sits on the back of the lense and will show lines before it goes black. You have to have it repaired. There are some repair services on e-bay that are cheap and helpfull

That is probably a faulty digital sensor array.

Try taking a picture and transferring the picture on a computer. If the picture on the computer is fine , then it is a faulty LCD.
If the picture is purple and blurred, the digital sensor array or the control board is defective.

The digital sensor array is the light sensible sensor chip that take the picture.

On a small camera like this can be a difficult and expensive repair.

Contact the phone number listed on the user manual and ask a quote for the repair, or ask if a warranty extension is available.

SOURCE: The pictures I take with my Kodak digital camera are not clear

One or more causes may result in unclear (blurry) pictures. Some common causes and suggested solutions are listed below. The lens is dirty. Clean the lens according to the guidelines for your camera model. The subject was too close to the camera. Make sure that you are far enough away from your subject. Each camera model has recommended distances for normal, telephoto (zoom), wide-angle, and close-up pictures. The subject was farther than the effective range of the flash. Each camera model has an effective flash range. The camera did not autofocus or autoexpose the picture correctly. For best Autofocus/Autoexposure function, press the shutter button halfway down and hold. When the AF/AE Indicator (Ready Light on some cameras) turns green, press the shutter button the rest of the way down to take the picture. If the yellow light blinks, release the shutter button. (On some models, the light will also blink yellow if the shutter speed is too slow.) You did not use the LCD screen Preview feature to take a picture in Close-Up mode. When the camera is in Close-Up mode, always use the Preview feature, both to confirm focus and to aim the camera properly. If you do not do this, the viewfinder will not show you an accurate view of the picture because of parallax error. The subject or camera moved while you took the picture. Place the camera on a flat, stable surface, and hold the camera very steady. Or use a copy stand or tripod – especially advisable at telephoto or high-zoom settings, or in low light.

SOURCE: pictures are blurry

Hi,

The auto-focus mechanism is defective. Take it back to the vendor and exchange it for another one.

Hope this helps,

Chris (ziraffa)

There's a slide switch on the end of the camera, near the USB slot. Slide it from the flower to the mountain, then take a picture of something at least three meters (ten feet) away. Is it still blurry?

Blurry pictures

When operating any digital camera, the camera tries to capture the best focus and exposure for that particular scene. By pressing the shutter button half-way down, the focus and exposure is being set. There will be a green circle on the upper left hand corner of the screen, then your camera is ready to take the picture. Slowly depress the shutter the rest of the way down to take the picture.

Also try to reset the camera back to factory defaults as there could be a setting that is causing the images to be blurry. To reset the camera - have the camera in shooting mode - go to Menu - left arrow to reset and press ok. Highlight yes and press ok. This will reset the camera back to factory settings. See if this clears up the blurry images.

Blurry camera screen

If the pictures are blurry, you probably damaged the lens with the drop. You will have to send the camera to the factory service to replace the lens unit, if it is not serviceable.

If you drop a camera this is not normally covered by the warranty. You may find it cheaper to replace the camera than have any major service done to it.
