i had a reformat on my laptop when it was done the sounds and video is not working what will i do?

You need to find and install the audio and video drivers for your laptop.
Usually laptops come with a Recovery CD, and all the drivers should be included in it.
If not, just visit the manufacturer web site, look for the correct drivers, download and install.
