Camera won't power on.

The lens remains extended and it will not power up for more than 2 seconds. The initial blue screen comes on and then it just shuts down.It was working perfectly but then simply stopped! I've only had it 13 months.

13 months (or about a year) is about the time that most rechargeable batteries needs to be replaced, no matter if they were used or not, Otherwise a camera might have a problem even just starting up (insufficient power shutdown). Fortunately, there are very many inexpensive generic replacements for your camera's NB-1L battery, such as this one.

That's what it would do if the battery had no charge. Batteries can only be recharges so many times. Pick up a replacement battery. If that doesn't solve it, at least you'll have a spare battery.

My kodak m341 won't turn on......when you press the on button, the lens comes out, then goes staight back in. The screen comes on for a split second when the lens comes out. that is all it will...

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

Camera switches off after each photo taken although blue light remains on and lens is extended

Are you sure it's not just shutting off the screen to conserve power? Try taking a new picture by pressing the shutter button half-way....does the camera come back to life?

My digicam lens keeps on moving... coming in and coming out and the screen says "ACCES"

Hi,

The ACCESS error message displays when there is an internal malfunction or a malfunction with the Lens. This may also appear when accessing the Memory Stick for reading or writing the data. If the Lens is moving in and out then follow the steps mentioned below. The error message normally displays with the issue with the Lens. Try the following steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Try power resetting the Camera.
Turn off the Camera.
Remove the battery pack.
Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
Then, allow the Camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.
Re-insert the battery pack and check if the Lens retracts.
You can also try resetting the Camera back to factory default. To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE option from the Setup 1 Menu of the Camera to OK. (Menu-->Setup-->Setup 1-->Initialize-->OK.)

This should resolve the issue. If the issue persists, service may be required.
