Sharp stereo BP 1700 error 0306

Hi i cannot open my cd player to put cd inside it..it comes up reading err 0306 when i push the open button..any help in fixing prob would be good..thanks..Anne

I am getting an error Message 0306 or 0203 when trying to open the cd tray on my Sharp CD-BA150 Stereo System what can I do to fix this problem

For the error 0306, simply remove the lid of your system and clear the dust out/off of the lense and surrounding areas. (i.e. soft cloth, canned air, ect...) Hope this helps!

CD Player does not work

I believe the extraction keys are more or less thin metal shims that push the locking tabs down and prevent the tabs from stopping the removal of the stereo while also acting as catches that allow you to simply insert the keys and then pull on the keys to remove the stereo.

If you do not have the right keys, you should be able to make simple metal shims, push them into the left and right sides between the stereo and the mount, once in place you will have to pull the stereo out manually instead of using the keys.

hi there, I suggest you should open the top cover of the cd tray, have a look inside do a little cleaning also when you screw back in, make sure you screw in properly( you propaply find that someone had open it up before and screw it back in really tight so the cd trey jam inside, or another alternative something might of broken inside and tha can stop the cd trey from opening. it happen to me before and thats how i fix it. good luck hope it works.. cheers

Cd stuck err 0306 message

Since the cds are stuck inside, you need to open the unit and remove them. There are four screws on the top cover. Remove them (2 on each side) and lift the cover. You should see the cds, remove them, then plug on the unit.

Cd tray won't open

In the front side of the dvd drive you will see a small hole ...so to eject that cd put one niddle in that hole and .
Now press the button at just after that apply a force on niddle .suddenly you will notice that cd will come outside ,if not try more times and you will learn to eject the cd when you are unable to do it by pressing the eject button...

Are these CDs burned copies?
If they are, some CD players don't read burned copies at all.

Cd shelf will not open

There is a belt in the CD mechanism that may have to be replace. The part number of the belt is 92LBE231616.

I think that depending on if it is old usally before it dies it starts not wanting to open disc drive add coment if it is old or new...

When the system is off take the remote and press the clock function. After the system lights up press and hold the memory button on the remote. Then press preset up or down to change hour (cycle through 12 hours to change AM PM). Then press the memory button again to change to minutes and repeat.
