Hello. That message appears when the video signal from the computer exceeds the monitor's ability to display it. If the sync is set too high(i.e. max sync on the monitor is 60 Hertz at that resolution), you will get that message. Check the video settings in control panel--("appearance and themes" in XP), go to the "advanced" tab and look at the refresh rate. Most computer video cards are able to far exceed a monitor's display ability. Don't exceed 60 Hertz--check the users guide for specs--the lower resolutions can have higher refresh rates(useful in games) Sometimes, a little lower video quality can yield a big performance difference in the display because the screen can update itself faster. I saw somewhere someone posted a "solution" involving changing a blown capacitor on the monitor mainboard. Not about to attempt it myself though ;-)
