I mistakenly deleted the sond driver...... And unfortunaely i don't have the DVD with me . On net from where i can get the driver. Plus my window is installed in Russian language...... is there any way i can change the language withour re-installing the window.... as I don't have the excess to external CD/DVD rom yet.
You can download the drivers from ASUS site. Make select your model laptop, and make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers that matches your Windows operating system. Click on this link :- http://usa.asus.com/index.aspx
If you need to type in a foreign language on your computer, you can do so by changing the input language (i.e. keyboard language). Just follow the instructions below Windows VistaWindows XP
Instructions for Windows Vista
Click Start and then Control Panel
In Control Panel, if you are in Classic View, click on Control Panel Home (top left corner)
Open Clock, Language, and Region
Click on Regional and Language Options.
Click the Keyboards and Languages tab and then click Change keyboards.
Under Installed services, click Add.
In the Add Input Language dialog box, select the keyboard layout you would like to add from the list available and click OK.
The keyboard layout you added will be included in the list. To set the new layout as your default, select it from the list. Click OK to save your changes
You can switch between different input languages (= keyboard languages) by clicking on the Language Bar button or by pressing the Alt + Shift keys

Add language support

Just fallow these steps

clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then
clicking Regional and Language Options (Its a Globe ICON).
2. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
3. Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.

I have an ASUS F5RL-X3 I can not access the recovery console using F9, nor can I repair it using OEM WIN XP Pro disk. I have changed boot priority so that CD is first device however it goes to HDD. I just want to get it started in recovery or DOS so tat I can manually fix registry and run chkdsk /p/r. F9 does not work!
